Great street to walk along, but certainly not the only one. Include Church and Bird, and the side streets for a truly "European" setting. Many café's and wine bars to visit between shopping.

Good food, nice atmosphere

This is the older part of Stellenbosch and far enough away from the university that the atmosphere is nice. there are some good restaurants in the are and more than enough souvenirs to be sold

A walk through a former time

Walk through Dorp Street and discover a part of Stellenbosch, which in parts sets you back to the old times. Historic buildings give a special impression. Seems you are back in the 19th or early 20th century. Very nice and worth to visit.

What a wonderful place

We walked down here and had a fabulous time. It is utterly beautiful and lined with a plethora of wonderful shops and restaurants. Well worth a trip to Stellenbosch to have a look. The architecture is stunning.

Spare an hour to walk the Dorp Street area

We parked in Blom Road, opposite Rhenish Church. It is a short walk along Market Street to Dorp Street. There numerous interesting buildings to see as you wander along Dorp Street, or why not stop for coffee or lunch at one of the cafes. As you near the end of the street turn left up Drostry and head for the interesting Illage Museum. Continue along Plien Street back to the car.

Lovely Old Street

Dorp Street is one of the main thoroughfares in Stellenbosch and the one with the most interesting architecture. Some beautiful old buildings to visit and to view.

Nice walk

Take your time and walk through the old historical city. Have a coffee or visit on of the restaurant. Very nice city and on of the oldest cities in South Africa

This street in Stellenbosch has the most historical houses in one street in Stellenbosch. With the old canal next to it , it is a very interesting street. The trees in the street are all planted oak trees.
