We are a tour company based in Stellenbosch, the heart of the Cape Winelands, one of the most picturesque locations in sunny South Africa. Cape Town pickups can be arranged. Tour includes tastings , cellar tour, cheese tasting and a great lunch. All inclusive! Trips are tailor-made to suit the customers’ interests and needs. Informed wine tasting. 19 Years experience.

Don't miss this tour

This was an excellent wine tour. Marius was our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable but also a lot of fun. The four of us were lucky enough to have a private 3/4 day tour. We visited 3 wine estates, at one it was a wine and cheese pairing and there was a delicious lunch at a very nice restaurant also included. A very relaxed enjoyable day.

Awesome 3/4 day wine tour

Had such a lovely day when we took the 3/4 day wine tour with Neil. The 3 of us wanted a surprise and the vineyards he picked were awesome! They had different styles which gave us a range of experiences. It felt like a whole day!
Also appreciated the prompt response when scheduling the tour and all the wine info as we went round.
Definitely worth it!!

Superb day of wine and friendly company

On our third stay in the Stellenbosch area we decided, once again to join Niel on a day visiting a few of the top vineyards close to the town. We revisited Kanonkop and Rustenberg and enjoyed the wines of Remhoogte and Lanzerac for the first time. Lunch at Le Pommier and cheese at Lanzerac added to the experience. We would thoroughly recommend Afrivista Wine Tours to anyone wishing to learn about Cape wines and the Stellenbosch area as well as enjoying a great day out.

A well spent day

Andre was a fantastic guide. He walked us through vines, gave us tips to maximize our wine tasting skills and our overall appreciation of wine. We visited four wineries on the full day tour and stopped for lunch at a lovely hillside restaurant.

The sites were beautiful, the stream of information was unending, the wines were outstanding and, again, andre was a star!

Not being 'big' wine drinkers, we went with some doubt but Niel made the morning & afternoon a memorable experience for us ' 'non connoisseurs' of the liquid grape!

He was so easy going, but very knowledgeable at the same time and made us feel completely at ease with no pressure to do anything, try 1 wine or 6 it mattered not.

I cannot recommend Niel highly enough and would have no hesitation in recommending Afrivista to host your wine experience in & around Stellenbosch!

Anyway, as was used frequently, us Scots thoroughly enjoyed our morning & early afternoon and hope the dancing went well !

First Rate Wine Tour

The hotel booked the wine tour for us at short notice.
Our guide for the day was Andre. He was both enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. We visited four wine farms which were all very different. Our favourite was Muratie where Andre explained how South African wine is still made by traditional methods.
We tasted at least five wines at each farm and had the chance to buy as well. Lunch and another glass of wine was included.

This was such a pleasant day and lived up to our expectations. It was also incredibly good value. Thank you Andre.

Perfect full day of Wine Tasting
We did the full day wine tour with Niel, we booked for group but got lucky and ended up with a private tour. Niel was AMAZING, super friendly and personable, extremely knowledgeable about the area, the wineries we visited, the history and the wines. He knew where to take us to tailor the day to what we wanted. It was a perfect day to end our honeymoon! Great company, wines and interesting history. I highly recommend booking this tour

21 day Garden Route Tour

Very privileged to have Neil as the Driver/guide for a 21 day tour of South African garden route tour.
Great tour and Neil made it one of the best guided tours we have in all our world travels. His knowledge, experience and absolute dedication to every detail was outstanding.

Best tour you can do

This is really a „must-do“ if you are in Stellenbosch and you do not want to do a touristic tour. Niel is a great guide and adapts the tour to the guests taste of wines. We will come back !!

I had a winery tour- full day with the guide Andre. It was excellent tour. Andre told a lot of history of the region and wine makery. Highly recommended!
