Based in Stellenbosch, the Adventureshop has been in the tourism business since 2000. We offer tours and activities to thrill and make your winelands stay memorable. Our Guided Bicycle tour of Historic Stellenbosch and some of it's wine etates is a hit and very popular. We also have a variety of e bike tours available, from half day to 5 day trips. We booked with our family of 4 and joined 1 other couple for a 50km MTB ride from Stellenbosch to Franschhoek. Amazing experience and a fantastic way to discover the winelands. The bikes are quality equipment! Guides are very good! And the stop at Boschendal and lunch at La Bourgogne Farm were excellent! I can really recommend this activity if you want to go for an adventurous discovery of the Stellenbosch area.

Our hotel recommended Adventureshop for us for both an airport pick up and a day trip to visit wine estates. The recommendation turned out to be stellar. Both experiences rate a 5+!
Airport pickup was seamless; our driver was waiting for us exactly where promised and he immediately took over our bags and got us to the van in record time. He was delightful and narrated the route for us so we quickly got a sense of where we were and where we were headed. He was kind, professional and fun!
Our day with Ronnie visiting the wine farms was a 5+++ experience. He knows everyone and everything! We had the best day with him. He gave us a fabulous tour and loads of recommendations. We could not have asked for better.
If you are thinking of booking with Adventureshop, just do it. Highly recommend!

Stellenbosch offers its visitors a great combination of beautiful wine estates, outdoor activities, fine restaurants, and breathtaking scenery.
During a recent stay in Stellenbosch, we decided to learn more about this beautiful town via a guided tour through Stellenbosch and the surrounding Winelands with Adventureshop. They ensured that we experience the best what Stellenbosh has to offer. We opted for an e-bike that started at 9:00 until 12:00 at the Adventureshop.
We have cycled through some interesting historic sites in Stellenbosch Town. I especially enjoyed cycling through the winding road through oak and poplar forests that took us through one of the most beautiful suburban areas and mountain biking trails where we started our first wine tasting at Stark-Conde wine estate. We travelled back to the valley, where we stopped at Lanzerec wine estate with its beautiful grounds and historic Cape Dutch architecture. Here we enjoyed Chocolate and Wine pairing that made our taste buds tingle.
After the tasting, we head back into Stellenbosch Town via the famous Stellenbosch University before ending the tour at Adventureshop’s offices.
It is the perfect way to explore Stellenbosch!

We did the Stellenbosch to Boschendal ride and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. The bikes were of a very high standard and the guiding by Seve was absolutely impeccable. So much interesting information was conveyed to us and he took great care in briefing us along the route. Never felt rushed and guides including Marshall were super patient and professional. Cant wait to do this again. Perhaps one of the multi day tours next time!

We had an absolutely fantastic full day cycle from Stellenbosch to Franschoek. We were guided by Severiano, and besides his extensive knowledge about the area and South Africa,we also enjoyed his good company. His guiding about the route itself was excellent, and we really enjoyed the combination of gravel roads,single tracks,sand,rocks and of course the stunning winelands scenery. We were even fortunate enough to see some Eland!
We enjoyed a perfect cycling day, and can highly recommend guiding by this team!

Have just completed two tours with Adventure Shop - the Vine Hopper southern route and the Vine Hopper Northern route - and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Our driver, Marshall, was brilliant and was on time for every pick up and drop off. He was great fun and full of local knowledge. Thank you Marshall and Adventure Shop!!

We opted for a private biking tour as we were travelling with our three young children. Marshall our guide was exceptional, he was very informative, very patient and incredibly helpful and organised everything for us. Veronika was also very helpful when booking the trip.
Highly recommended, great way to see the sights of Stellenbosh and enjoy a couple of its wineries.

Useed the Vine Hopper twice, once in 2018 and 2020. It's a great and safe way to discover some estates in the Stellenbosch wine region. No drinking and driving, meeting other people while you're trying out wines and some good entertainment from the driver. Have recommeded this to friends from overseas and will coninue to take friends on one of the routes when they are around. If you have Marchall as a driver, you will certainly have a good time.

We cycled from Stellenbosch to Hermanus via Franschhoek and had a 5 star experience from the pretour communication to the finishing lunch in Hermanus. Sevo was a wonderful guide, the route and trials were great and the catering superb! Would highly recommend to anyone interested in cycling and the outdoors. suitable even for inexperienced riders.

As an add on to a visit to Capetown, two of us took a 3 day Cycle Tour from Stellenbosch to Hermanus with Raino and Johan this October. It was largely off road with hardtail mtbs provided by adventureshop. They had a wide selection of full suspension and ebikes but the terrain was suitable to hardtails. We wanted to see more of the landscape of the western cape and weren't disappointed. The guys were great company and the route was well selected for mix of riding surfaces and hills. The accommodation was great with an overnight in Franschhoek and a vineyard lodge near Botrivier. Any beer and wine consumed felt to be well earned. I would highly recommend going to the team at adventureshop for multi day or single day tours.

We will be in Stellenbosch April 9, would like to just rent bikes for a day or 1/2 day. Are you open? How much do you charge? Can you provide maps and suggestions? We do not want to do wine tasting, just ride around. How far are you from Hunneyball House?
