This was our 2nd vineyard stop and very different. A modern approach with space, artwork and views. Leroy was very friendly and did an excellent job of explaining each wine and it's processes. The experience was paced well and allowed us time to thoroughly enjoy the visit.

Tokara was a great contemporary wine stop. Their service was good, and they had a great art collection. We completed one of their wine tastings and enjoyed their wines a lot. The view over the vineyards added to the entire experience, worth a visit.

Whenever we take our clients for wine tasting, even if we are on a tight schedule, Tokara always seem to to the list. With a high rating for their red wines, it is a must visit!

Tokara is one of the upper market wine estates I would think due to it's beautiful views but wine tasting at R100 is not an option for locals, neither is the Restaurant at over R400 for a 3 course meal & the 12.5% gratuity for tables of 6 or more. We had our first (& last) visit last week -... More

This is not the first time we have been to Tokara and I need to mention that our previous tasting was amazing which is why we decided to return. The only option was 8 wines and 1 brandy for R100. We were given only the most basic info on the wines and had to wait for extremely long period between... More

The tasting here is R100 for 8 wines and 1 brandy to taste. They offered some of their home grown kalamata olives to enjoy during the tasting and they're great! I enjoyed many of their wines. Nesh knows his wines and gave us lots of informative details about them. The venue itself has beautiful panoramic views. The restaurant next door... More

If you would like to overlook the mountain while tasting some great wine, here is the place! There is also a restaurant which is very well located but I didn't get the chance to sit there.

We has a 3 course lunch at Tokara. I had the French-Indo fusion to start and my wife had the Baked Alaska. We both had the Duck breast mains and then chocolate deserts. We ate in so many luxurious restaurants in South Africa but this was easily the best. The flavours were just right. For example the oysters were perfectly... More
