What a wonderful tour! The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We loved all the stops, and it turned out to be a super fun day. Can highly recommend this tour to everyone, young and old!

Such a great way to get to know Stellenbosch and South Africa with the Foodies on Foot! And we really enjoyed Marlene’s knowledge and stories in a mix of Afrikaans and English. She is a wonderful guide. It was a great culinary ánd cultural experience.

A lovely walk through the city. The sights, smells, foods, Simone our host was wonderful, her knowledge and love of the city was a gift .

Johnnie made the trip!!!! Great entertainment the Entire trip. Well worth the money! We were on time At every stop. Johnny taught us the native language as we went.

Good news for all persons wanting an eating and walking experience that will last a lifetime.
I am of course referring to the Bites and Sites Food Tours of Stellenbosch, South Africa! Now, where to start? Well, that's easy!
Louise Smit of Bites and Sites!
Louise was a tour de force on the food tour she hosted during my visit to Stellenbosch! My partner, Cecilia and I munched and drank our way across Stellenbosch, in high fashion, while under the professional guidance of Louise!
The tour began with a walk through the botanical gardens of Stellenbosch, to be followed with a beautiful tea ceremony in one of historical town buildings. As the tour continued, we transitioned into a popular Stellenbosch gin tasting location. Lastly, the tour was concluded with the most interesting South African coffee café which featured the best coffee presentation I have ever witnessed. The show was presented by Irishman Mike Jones. Thank you, Mike, for the fond memories of your cakes and coffees!
All and all, Bites and Sites was one of the highlights of my stay in South Africa and I highly recommend the tour for everyone that sets foot in Stellenbosch, South Africa!

A fun few hours exploring the history and food of Stellenbosch. Jules was knowledgeable and very pleasant. Our favorite stop was lunch at the Blue Crane and the Butterfly.

We had the pleasure of meeting Simone for the Bites in a Box tour - it was fabulous! The way Simone was able to accommodate our family (dietary restrictions and young kids) was beyond what we imagined. The coffee tasting (tea for the kids) was delicious, all the food was fantastic, and the historical information and art sites were so well incorporated. We felt very safe with the covid protocols and enjoyed walking around beautiful Stellenbosch! Simone even had some suggestions for things we could do after the tour. We would do any tour with Bites and Sites again in a heartbeat!
