Nederburg had surprisingly few visitors when we were there. OK, means that it was easy to join the 'cellar-tour'. Very informative tour thru modern wine-making, really open and gave lot of new ideas. Not any romantic tour, but underlined every moment they have on top of modern wineries and will be. Very generous tasting, friendly service. As we come from... More

Look, it's impressive and the wines are quality with a capital Q, but I still prefer to taste at the smaller wineries as they are more intimate. As one of the big names in SA wine you can't go wrong here, but having seen it, I have no great urge to go back.

Great setting for wine tasting during South African winter. We had a cozy day, by the fire, and the staff were lovely. Stunning setting and great wine!

I have been here many times and have never had a bad time! The wines are of course world class and the grounds are so pretty. The best way to see it is in a group, it's a great venue for special occasions. The restaurant is good but as with most farms having a picnic outside is the best!

I am surprised at reading other reviews. Maybe it was the time of year and during the week. I expected a busy place, but we were the only ones there. We stood at the bar and tasted, but were not particularly made to feel encouraged to ask questions. We are from California and very interested in wine, but this was... More

We travelled to Paarl for three nights as part of our ancestral journey. Nederburg Winery was splendid and was our main reason for making Paarl our base camp as ancestors the Ceillier family owned the land before it became Nederburg. The service was impeccable, the staff were friendly, the estate is beautiful and the food and wine was delightful even... More

A lovely historic place with an interesting museum charting the long history of Nederburg and its important influence on South African wines and their export. The delightful air-conditioned visitor centre and cafe offers a diverse range of wine tastings or (if driving) a very nice selection of cold plates with one glass, which can be enjoyed while looking out to... A great place to buy a vast array of wines and be informed and educated by friendly staff who know what they are talking about.
