We had a lovely morning boat trip to Knysna Heads. The office was a desk outside Sirocco and it was easy to find on Thiesen Island and easy to park in the street. We got there pretty early so had a coffee at the nice café next door.

The boatman was good and we had plenty of space on board so we could move around freely for photos etc. We went right out to Knysna Heads so the scenery was lovely. We learnt quite a bit about the houses out there, the Featherbed Reserve and places to visit on the East Head, which was very useful. It was a lovely day and nice to get some breeze.

I can definitely recommend this trip.

Informative cruise to the Heads, learnt a lot about the lagoon and the Heads. Was good value and the crew were very friendly. Thoroughly recommended.

The boat left from Thesen Island. We were taken out past Featherbed Reserve and out to the Heads area. We learned about the oyster companies moving to PE and had a very relaxing trip on a beautiful estuary. Well worth doing.

We did a Oyster Tour. The itinerary was very attractive. But it was very disappointing. The Oysters were already collected/ready. We just ate them. We were informed that we would be at the farm and picking/selecting the Oysters ourselves. It was a round drive and back. Nevertheless, the skippers were very very nice and informative. I do not blame the skippers or the employees but the misleading information from the company. We therefore canceled our sunset cruise as it states a nice boat but apparently a small one.

An OK boat trip around a rather uninspiring Knysna Lagoon. The boat had no shade and ran aground, so we had to get out and push!

75 minute tour across the lagoon with a very knowledgeable guide - rounded off by a glass of white wine and a few oysters, what better way to end another beautiful day in South Africa.

The lagoon is really best viewed from the water with a guide who can give some background on environment, animals, history etc. Highlight of the tour was the visit from a seal which came very near our boat - to the delight of our kids.

Very good value for money at less than 1000 Rand for two adults and two kids - definitely recommended.

We took part in the Kynsna lagoon oyster tour and our guide was very knowledgeable and made it a great experience. This tour is well worth doing, especially if you haven't tried oysters before and you don't know where to start. The scenery was spectacular, the history and info about Knysna was very interesting.

Wonderful time! I had Justin as my captain and he was fantastic. The boat ride was smooth, the sights were excellent. Justin had me try a couple of different types of oysters from the bay/lagoon and I drank some nice white wine to go with it. Justin is from the area and I feel like he told me so much about the town, the history, and the people that I might not have learned otherwise. Had some good laughs too. Classy guy, great cruise. Highly recommend!

We booked the Oyster tour in Feb of 2022 after having seen the advertisement in the Knysna harbour. All in all the experience was rather pleasant, as it was fun to drive out into the waters surrounding Knysna and enjoying the view from the waterside. As for the tour itself was it rather a wine & oyster tasting on the water, rather than an educational tour on the subject itself. Of course there was some interesting information provided on the topic, but maybe we were expecting something a bit different. Still a worthwhile experience, but not a must-book event in Knysna.

Wonderful trip lasting 4 hours and includes a very nice buffet lunch. Crossing the lagoon by boat and then a steep drive up the mountain to a viewpoint overlooking the heads and a walk back for lunch and the boat ride back. You can't visit Knysna without this experience.
