Definitely not to miss. Booked the boot cruise 'John Benn' through Featherbed Company. You will be able to see the islands "Leisure Isle" & "Thesen Island". Nice view of Knysna Heads and the mountains.

What destruction the fires have done. Beautiful vegetation and even homes burnt down. Despite that, it is still extremely beautiful.

The lagoon has always been a treasure of the town. Fun to be on and loads of memories. The sad part is the parks around it like Cathy park & Green hole, constantly dirty. The walkways are untidy and the general upkeep leaves much to...More

... but a bit boring experience. The most exciting was to get a close view of the fire damages. Lots of nice houses on the lagoon. Impressing heads at the mouth of the lagoon. Hardly any waves.

In the past we have always stayed B&B on Leisure Isle - there are no end of good B&Bs here. It's more or less in the middle of the Knysna Lagoon offering lovely walks right at the side of the Lagoon and, at a certain...More

Knysna is just a beautiful place to visit. This Lagoon, is in fact an estuary, (told by one of our Guides) which is influenced by the low and high tides too. Very relaxing to just clutch out, and reflect. It has a beautiful little Island,...More

We found this so peaceful and so much to do, there is the ferries on the lagoon, the Waterfront, The heads where you can overlook the lagoon from. Beautiful town to go through.
