A must visit while in Knysna - also visit leisure Island which overlooks the lagoon. Very tidal so views change dramatically.

Easily accessible swimming In the lagoon. High tide is the best time for swimming otherwise the water only comes knee high.

There is plenty to do what with the shopping center close by, with many restaurants. The views around the lagoon are gret, some very good photographic opportunities can be had.

We took a two hours cruse to visit the lagoon. The guide on the ship explained a lot about the flora and fauna of the region. All in all the lagoon deserves attention.

Beautiful spot and great for small kids. Head out at low tide and you can wade far in the water up to your knees. The children loved watching the hermit crabs all over the lagoon. If you walk across the lagoon, there are some fantastic...More

You can drive out to the Lagoon, safe parking, in the shade, easy access to toilets, have a stroll around experience the sea the birds nature and unwind after a long travel or the busy Knysna traffic.
