About
The walk follows over 1km of wooden board walks and bridges across streams and is entirely wheelchair friendly and ideal for the elderly wanting to visit the forest. There is a number of wooden benches and tables along the trail to sit, snack, picnic or enjoy your 'padkos'. Water and ablution facilities.

Gorgeous walk through nature. Small entry fee of R40 per person but worth it if you want a quick walk. It's about a 20-min walk, you can take food and beverages inside too if you want to have a picnic in nature 😊. There are sometimes local vendors inside too, so defs pack in some extra cash to support their crafts!

We had such a lovely tranquil walk through the forest. You can stay as short or long as you want. There is a lot of information on the fauna and flora and lots of places to sit and experience the atmosphere. The R40 to enter the National Park also allows you to enter the zip line area and lookout point.

A must stop off for a picnic. Beautiful peaceful forest area with lots of picnic spots and very safe well laid out trail. Suitable even of older people to walk. Even on a cold misty day it was exquisite

During our roadtrip from CapeTown to JohBurg we briefly stopped here to have a look. Before we knew it we paid R170 per person (2 adults and 2 kids of 14) and walked the 1km round trip through an old forest. Not all the boardwalk boards were in good shape and some of the posters with information were in a deteriorating state. Somehow we thought the investment would be good for the maintenance or for the SANParks in general but when I asked one of the tenants, why the price is rather high, they didn’t know anything about it. ‘I just work here’ was her timid reply. We also were obliged to fill in a lot of personal information for a permit. I thought it was a joke; you need a permit to walk on a boardwalk for 1km. In the end we felt we were scammed, but this is an official SANParks activity. I definitely do NOT recommend people to stop by here.

Can not comment on the walk as did not go. Really disgusted at the price they were charging per person, R200 each to do a half hour walk, just felt they were ripping the tourists off, someone below also mentioned that the boards were not in good shape so glad we decided not to do it. If everyone avoids the place maybe they will lower the price and make good on the boards. Would NOT recomend.

Nice walk trough the forests, but not more than 15-20 min long. The noisy N2 close by is a spoiler of the forest experience. If you go there, ring insect repellent! Due to the limited length of the walk we thought it was not worth the drive and effort to go there.

We drove by and thought that it would be a nice stop. The lady came outside and showed us the 1 kilometer trail. We thought it would be nice. But we needed to pay for it, and we didn’t really thought about the prize, we thought it couldn’t be that much right. But we spent 37 Euro’s for like a 10 min walk. And on our way back the bathroom was already closed. We feel scammed. It is so not worth it if you are a tourist. You also needed to fill in a lot of personal information. They said there were a lot of animals and info board. I saw a bird and two information boards. And that was it.

Really disappointing

The Garden of Eden is a loop walk of 1 km. Beautiful forest with tables and chairs all around the walk path.
Take a picnic basket and enjoy the forest.

Parking is not that great, as you can only turn on from Knysna side, coming from Plett you must turn around, and drive back to enter on the left. Only a few parking spaces. But it seems to always work.

Enjoy the nature and breath the fresh air.

The name of the experience makes you feel that this will be a great experience, however the delivery falls short. There is a circular path, about 1km long, which takes you along a boardwalk through some jungle. You need to pay for the experience - not sure it was worth it.

You must sign in at the main office on left on the N2 to Plett. After that you can have a walk within the forest. The permit allows you as well some kilometers further to go to the coast and have a walk there. Interesting place
