The landscape is gorgeous. You don't need to schedule too much time there though as there is not much more to do than taking in the beautiful scenery. But it is definitely worth a trip.

Four of us stopped off here for a bit of exploring. Plenty of photo opportunities also. Car parking attendants to help get a space then start walking. The scenery is amazing though so highly recommend a visit here.

The views from the various view points are breathtaking. One can then also head down to the beach at the bottom of the cliffs to be right in the waves. Worth the walk. Nature at its best.

The Heads are the notorious cliffs forming the entrance from the sea into the Knysna lagoon. Not recommended for novice sailors but from the path along the bottom of East Head you get great views and it's impossible to take a bad photo of the redish sandstone rocks and ocean.

When we were last in Knysna we walked to Knysna Heads from Leisure Isle where we were staying. The weather at that time wasn't brilliant so we promised ourselves that we would return. It was even more beautiful than we remembered, the sun was shining on the water which was rough and windswept, a photographer's dream. A great walk but... More

Well worth visiting and taking time out to enjoy the view. Fun to do: sit on a bench facing this narrow and treacherous passage into the lagoon and read about its history. Good spot for a lunchtime or evening spontaneous picnic.

The heads are worth the small drive if you're staying in knysna. The heads can be walked from a number of parking lots but also offers parking.

There is a great view of both the ocean and the Knysna Lagoon from the walkway at the Heads. There is a car park with parking attendants at the summit.
