I have been a customer of Sarie‘s for many years now and can honestly say her array of home-cooked delicacies is mouth watering and always special. She cooks anything from typical South African home-style food (like bobootie, oxtail or stews) to the most delicious asian dishes (Indian or Thai curries, Korean meat dishes, etc), Greek specialties, you name it, with or without meat, vegetarian and also vegan. The variety is not ending and due to her fascination with anything food, new dishes join the mix constantly in addition to customers‘ favourites. The depth of flavour Sarie develops in her dishes is remarkable. We have not had a single meal that we did not thoroughly enjoy!
Her meals are generally deep frozen and one 500ml tub is filling for two if accompagnied with rice or whatever you like, in the comfort of your own home.

Sarie also makes the freshest spice blends from all over the world and her own creations by dry-roasting her own ingredients, as well as delicious dips and sauces, fermented and pickled foods and she does excellent catering platters. All home-made with fresh ingredients.
She is also the go-to address for any spice and exotic condiment, sauce, dip or ingredient in town.

Visiting this little treasure trove is a delight you should add to a trip in or through the Garden Route. Sarie's enthusiasm at sharing her flavours, blends, and everything aromatic, leads one on a journey to the foreign lands of their origin. While also studiously immersing herself in the profiles of a flavour element, Sarie has a natural flair for simple, timeless combinations. She has spices from the East, Orient, and North Africa ready to sweep one away at the tip of a tongue taste. There are also delicious ready made meals for purchase. From Cape Town to France to South Korea and everything in between at great prices, as well as a few of those hard to come by sauces and condiments.
Thanks to her location, coffee and a meal could be the enjoyed at the restaurant next door while you contemplate the taste sensations you'll be enjoying.
