IF you have taken the trip to Featherbed Reserve, this ride on the Knysna Lagoon will be a duplicate as there is nothing new to be seen. Learning how to shuck an oyster may be a talent you would like to learn and you will. The oysters "were purchased at the market" according to the guide. That seemed a disappointment.... More

We enjoyed the boat cruise, it was a bit chilly but a very romantic evening. We learned a lot of things about oysters. The skipper (Alex) made the whole experience to be a memorable one; narrating the whole story about oysters, he was very informed and knowledgeable about the boat cruises, oysters, water tide, the lagoon history etc. I really... We did not want a 4+ hour trip out on the lagoon, but a couple hours was perfect and this tour offered just that. The guide was great, very personable and friendly. We enjoyed a couple oysters (everyone can have 3 if you choose) and some wine after we made our way out close to the Heads. They have blankets... More

Oh wow, where do I start. This cruise was by far, the best we had on the Knysna Lagoon. It was so enjoyable, we took it three times with this particular company "Knysna Sunset Cruise" . It appears to be a family business, as such you get very personal service, from the time you arrive at the desk at Quay... More

Went on the sunset tour. The guide was a very pleasant and informative fellow, promising limitless wine and oysters on our way out. Never a man to turn a challenge down we swiftly polished off a couple of bottles of white and two plates of oysters. I presented the empty plate with my best 'please sir, can I have some... More

Had a nice tour on the knysna lakes. Our guide did a very good job and had plenty of good explanations for the oysters and the area. The view through the knysna heads is really cool. His son David - a 8 year old boy - assisted his dad. He did a great job and made the whole trip even... More

We went on a sunset cruise around the lagoon and the crew were really friendly and informative and pointed out many different birds and told us all about the lagoon and surrounding area. We then were shown how to shuck (open) fresh oysters and then we did it ourselves and ate as many as we wanted to! And we were... More

Our tutor, Steven was very knowledgeable and made it a great experience. Well worth the money, specially if you haven't tried oysters before and you don't know where to start:)
