Beautiful Winery
Mar 2020
Spent a couple of hours at this beautiful winery
Not our first visit and it never disappoints. The wines are delightful.. I love the Chardonnay and my husband the luscious Nebbiola Well worth a visit.

Beautiful winery. Lovely tasting room and cellar. Excellent wines with the added incentive of tasting cost waived with the purchase of a bottle of wine.

Very, very pleasant

We had great wine served with a delicious platter of cheese, salame, pâtés, balsamic vinegar, olive oil and home baked bread. The sommelier was incredible! Lovely experience.

Best sa Pinot noir.
Dec 2019 • Family
Beautiful venue - more traditional than most. Wines are out of this world. Tete de Cuvee is my all time favourite Sa Pinot noir. We were fortunate enough to have Peter Finlayson host our tasting. A must do winery with top top top wines. Enough space and balls for kids to keep busy.

Beautiful experience in the Hemel en Aarde Valley

Learned so much from an inspiring man, Frank Woodvine who guided us on our fynbos tour. We can highly recommended this hike. Wine tasting in the cellar was superb, excellent wines.

Top winery in the Hemel en Aarde Valley
Dec 2018 • Solo
Bouchard Finlayson make exceptional wine.
About half way up the Hemel en Aarde Valley.
The tasting room is inside the building in pet of the old cellar. You could choose to sit outside if you wanted, but on a scorching hot day, it was pleasantly cool.
I stood at the counter, a sublime to engage with the tasting room staff, who were very knowledgeable. I bought wine so the fee was waived.
You can taste their whole range, including the Flagship Tête de Cuvée. This is tasted as a Coravin 75ml pour, which is excellent value, seeing that a bottle costs R962.
Definitely an estate to include if you are serious about wine

One of the Best Wineries in Hemel-en-Aarde Valley
Nov 2018 • Couples
We visited B-F as part of a private wine tasting tour we had organized with Percy Tours in Hermanus. The wines we tasted here were easily some of the best in this gorgeous valley, as well as some of the best we had tasted in visiting 15 other wineries in South Africa. The whites are strong entries, and their Hannibal red blend was one of the two or three best reds we tasted throughout our touring. There are more scenic areas and tasting rooms in the Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, and even Hemel-en-Aarde (like Ataraxia), but the wines here are well worth experiencing.

Good wine, Lack of staff.
Aug 2018 • Couples
We went here on a Saturday. It was pretty busy. There were only two staff members working. So everything was rushed and a little unorganized. Estate is beautiful though.

One of our Favourite Wine Tastings

We were told about this winery on the outskirts of Hermanus so we searched it out. Their Chardonnay is amazing. If you love wine this winery is a must.!!!

Hike followed by a wine tasting
Jan 2018 • Friends
Despite the rain, the red route hike around Bouchard Finlayson Winery was good fun. We followed this with a wine tasting, which was well presented and there were some lovely but quite expensive wines. We were a group of 16 and the staff were accommodating and friendly considering we had not booked and had just arrived 'on speck'. Thank you!
