This gallery has really beautiful artwork and items. We were mainly looking at the artwork and bought a couple of small paintings from a local artist.
Definitely worth a visit when visiting Hermanus. The staff were also very helpful and kind. We will definitely be back.

Situated on the main road of Hermanus is an incredible gallery, studio and workshop Lembu, which is owner run by Ed Bredenkamp and Ian Macdonald. You can buy fabulous gifts and decor for one self. You can view their team in action with a workshop upstairs where they are painting, sewing and embroidering on their fabrics for table runners, place mats, wall hangings and cushion covers. tucked at the back of the shop is Ed's studio where he is personally at work with his paintings..... My favourite his red elephants. They have stunning jewelry and exquisite stoneware ceramics. Definitely worth a visit!!!!!!

Art and crafts - worth a visit as they have original works of art and their fabrics are gorgeous. Not your typical tourist items.

No visit to Hermanus can be complete without a visit to this wonderful gallery and studio. A visit here is a wonderful experience and you will be hard pushed to come away without some original and exquisite pieces of art, be they originals or limited editions. Ed and Ian are delightful and enrich this experience greatly - their passion for what they do is amazing. We need a bigger house to enable us to add to our growing collection of Ed's art, Lembu prints and wall hangings and general beautiful African pieces of art.

The quality of the artwork in here took us completely by surprise. Staff were helpful but we're happy to let you wander around without pestering you to purchase. We came away with a gorgeous lump of stone!

This is the place to go for African art of all kinds. We recently purchased several West African tribal art face masks; beautifully made.
Definitely worth a visit for real African mementos.

When I am in Hermanus, I make sure to visit (and take friends) to Lembu Gallery. They have stunning pieces in their gallery. The screen printing they do is also quite spectacular - you can purchase anything from a pillow case to a table runner to a large wall hanging. Each piece is uniquely designed in their studio. The studio is right around the corner, where you can watch the artists doing the screen printing. It is quite a process to watch and provides a greater appreciation for the works they create. I have two of the wall hangings and a pillow cover and will definitely add to my collection next time I'm in Hermanus!

A real gem - loads of interesting art and crafts. You can see some of it being made in a workshop nearby. Make sure you save some of your money for this
