360° Hermanus views

An easy walk/hike up to the top, just behind Hermanus Station Shopping Centre. Great 360° views of Hermanus. Some History about the Koppie (Hill) along the way. Worth a look!

Took some time off to clime (easy peasy) this Koppie which is located in the centre of Hermanus. Once on top, the view of the entire town and the ocean are in full view. A nice way to spend a couple of hours

The view from Hoy's Koppie is amazing, you can see the whole Walkerbay. And a lot of History . You can visit the Grave of Sir and Lady Hoy who played a big role in Hermanus History. They are also responsible that the village never got a rail way station, but only a bus station.

Wonderful spot, take the camera! Be careful at the very top there can be swarms of bees....if you see someone at the top waving their arms then this is the reason. That said don't miss it

Loved hiking this koppie. Have now done it in extreme wind and sunny weather, both extremely fun! Apart from the spectacular view from the top, was amazing to learn more about the history of the people and place upon reaching the summit. During a previous visit in June, we saw whales. What a vista.

This is a very short trial up the koppie but there are nice stairs which is perfect for anyone into fitness to do the stairs and running the trials on the koppie

It's a stiff climb up Hoy's Koppie but with a rewarding view from the top. It takes about ten minutes to walk up the path to the top! (if you are fit)

Hoy's Koppie is located in a quiet part of Hermanus, overlooking a number of churches on one side, a cemetery on the other, schools on both sides, but has amazing views of the town and the sea. It has some well-built steps which one can climb all the way around and to the top. Also great if you just want... More

Decide on an early morning ascent - takes 40 minutes for the round trip. There is a dedicated free car park off the 'Chequers' roundabout . Path to half way and then steps to top where we were afforded views over the harbours or across the golf course and also out to Birkenhead Point. Interesting history lesson about Hoy and... More

Gentle exercise to the top for a nice view of the town. Also met some interesting people on the way!
