We decided at the last minute to kayak in a last attempt to see some whales. What a fantastic decision that turned out to be. Herman and Faan were excellent guides and such stellar guys in general. Made us feel very welcome and safe. We were blessed to witness a pod of dolphins and a whale out at sea. Highly recommend as an alternative to the whale watching boats. Loads of fun will never forget it!

We had a stunning 90-minute your of the coastline towards the New Harbour in Hermanus. Our guide, Riaan, was super, explaining local wildlife and flora with evident expertise. The kayaking itself built up a healthy sweat but wasn't arduous - an excellent way to start the day.

We made a last minute decision to go to Hermanus, so contacted WBA via the WhatsApp number on their website the evening before we wanted to go sea kayaking - amazingly enough they responded within an hour and confirmed they could accommodate us the next morning. We embarked on our kayak adventure the following morning with 4 others (2 per kayak) lead by Rhian. Rhian was a great guide, really knowledgeable & experienced. We saw some seals, penguins & a bryde whale, and then had the opportunity to go for a swim while out sitting in the water. Overall would highly recommend - We really appreciated how quick they responded & could communicate via WhatsApp!

I want to take this opportunity to thank Herman for the good service. In fact, I wanted to book a sea kayak tour, with the objective of whale watching. I knew it was late in the season, but I still sent Herman a message to discuss the options. He did not want to sell a tour at all costs but was very honest and indicated that the chance of whale watching now is very low. After this honest and pleasant contact I decided to book 2 other (external) tours through Herman and this all went to full satisfaction.

My friend and I did the sea kayaking trip and, from the first point of contact, Herman was so helpful and honest with his advice. He even booked us onto a whale watching boat trip with a different agency when their own tours were all booked up for the time we were in Hermanus. We weren't lucky enough to see any whales on our trip but nevertheless we saw seals and penguins and learnt a lot about the marine life and loads of whale facts. Herman even was kind enough to give us a lift from the kayaking spot to the new harbour. Can't recommend this service enough, especially if you're not a local and need some guidance!
