Set against the tranquil backdrop of the Outeniqua mountain's with the sound of laughing children, and the smell of warm waffles. You expect the service to be as amazing as the atmosphere created.
It's always great to see how business grow, evolve and expand. This place has definitely grown into itself, but there are still place for growth when it comes to service delivery and staff friendliness.
We arrived and waited 15min to be assisted by a server, it took another 25 min to bring out 3 coffee's and a water - the poor water waited so long the ice cubes were basically melted, we ordered food and waited another 45min in anticipation for our food, our second order of coffee's only arrived after we went to pay the bill.
I can definitely recommend the scones and waffles they are out of this world, would have loved to be treated friendly and in time (people that arrived after us had finished their meal while we were still waiting).

It's really disappointing when a family oriented activity venue allows itself to be swayed towards to being a money grabber over promoting the family spirit.
We had looked forward to experiencing the picking of strawberries at a working farm but didn't need to pick a whole punnet each. However, that was not permitted and only one of us was allowed into the field for one punnet! Really? And the attitude of the cashier was just far too dismissive for a venue clesrly espousing Christian family values.
Apart from that sour note, the farm is unique, interesting and well laid out, with a pleasant tea garden and a few nice eateries.

Fun-filled farm with ample activities for families. Would not recommend it for babies and toddlers as it gets very hot, very busy and they get tired and bored quickly. The teens would enjoy the maze and young children the train and paddle cars. It gets VERY busy and overcrowded at times. There are only 2 counters to purchase tickets, so expect long queues. It's missing a safe and secure area for toddlers to roam and play in. Something I would recommend during the busy season.

An excellent experience especially for the children. Train ride driver was super friendly and feeding the small snimals was really enjoyed by the young ones. However the service at the restaurant was so poor we decided to cancel our order only to have it arrive when we were leaving the table. Fantastic food and coffee. However i have to say the service was extremely poor.

The Redberry Farm provides a good day outing when visiting George. The kids will enjoy plucking strawberries and there are few nice restaurants at the farm.
Just be aware that the farm does get extremely busy and social distancing can be difficult at this place. They do take people’s temperatures when you arrive at the farm however once you enter it does get a bit cramped with the sheer volume of people.

We visited two days in a row. Just could not resist coming back. Fudge and wine tasting is divine. Beer and gin tasting was awesome. The cheese platter was exceptional. We met the owners and can understand why this is such a lovely place. Can recommend it to families as you can really spend a whole day at this lovely place. Will definitely be back next year.

Went to take a picture with friends at the big strawberry but ended up spending way too much time taking part in all the little activities with the kids. Everything from a train ride, imitation go-karts, feeding animals, kids playing on the water inside a ball, to navigating a maze. Noticed wine tasting facilities so will definitely be back when we have babysitters!

What an amazing strawberry salad. For a change I actually had very little lettuce and loads of other ingredients. The salad was so huge I could not finish it and super fresh ingredients were used.
The waffles are still outstanding so were the strawberry milkshakes.
Well done guys on super service and food time after time

We stopped for a snack over lunch time and was impressed with the nice parking area, the beautiful gardens and great open spaces.
The service, the food and drinks was first class and well priced.
Lots of activities for children

This place is a true family gem. We stayed in wilderness on holiday and visited this place for the day. Had so much fun. Lots of lovely lush green picnic areas. Various restaurants and a market/shop
We did the train ride twice as it was so fun and my 2 year old enjoyed it
The pony rides we also had fun with
The rabbit area was a hit with my son. Nice park area for the kids
We did try the strawberry picking as it was too hot that day, but had a lovely day there
Would definitely visit again

I live in Gauteng and I want to buy more of your frozen strawberries, do you have a sales point or a shop that stocks your products?
Written 20 March 2017
Hi there! We unfortunately only stock our products in the Garden Route due to the lack of deep-freeze transportation to Gauteng. An alternative would be to source your own transportation to collect the frozen strawberries from us. I hope this helps!
