We booked Kabura for a tour of the Western Cape and Gard0en Route for 13 days having already found our own accomodation. We were a group of three and we had our own driver and a comfotable 6 seater SUV at our disposal for the entire time. The cost compared well with that of a hire car and was excellent value considering the company paid for the driver's overnights close to us wherever we went. we. He was called Kelly and he was punctual, polite, a brilliant guide and a really nice guy. His knowledge of the history and nature of the area was exceptional. He was first in line at the gate when we arrived in Cape Town and he continued in the same manner througout. Two of us are in our mid 70's and he kept us safe, carried our heavy luggage and never let us down. We are missing him already but we will keep in touch.

We had a private day tour booked to visit Robben Island, Table Mountain and the city. We were collected from our hotel and taken to the Mandela Gateway. Our guide got our tickets then left us as we got in the queue. We took the boat to Robben Island, had our tour then got the boat back.
He met us at the same place. We went for some lunch then but it did feel a bit rushed.
We then went to Table Mountain. We got in the queue while he went to park the car. An advantage of taking this tour - you don’t have the worry of trying to find a space there. We then went up in the cable car. He didn’t show us round at the top and asked us how much time we needed up there, we had absolutely no idea so half an hour was suggested. It was hot and busy up there and we did a little circular tour but couldn’t do all the bits we wanted to because time was running out. We were near the cable car and hurrying to get back but I thought he wouldn’t mind if we were a few minutes late but exactly at half an hour he was phoning me to see where we were.
After coming down from the cable car he collected the car and picked us up. He didn’t seem that keen to be showing us the city but he did. We went to Bo Kaap but on the way he struggled to get the car up the hills and the engine stalled several times. It was a bit worrying. He showed us where to walk on our own then collected us again.
We then went through the city and saw some of the statues and public buildings but we didn’t stop anywhere so couldn’t get out and taking photos from the car wasn’t easy.
Glad we did the tour because it took the stress out of parking, finding our way and getting tickets but certain parts did feel rushed.

Morné was absolutely fantastic from the start of today’s tour to the finish! I cannot say enough nice things about Morné’s guidance, kindness, personality, and knowledge of the country of South Africa, especially Cape Town and its gorgeous surrounding areas! I would recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Cape Town and eager to see a wide variety of sites - on today’s voyage we saw seals at fisherman’s wharf, Cape of Good Hope (the most southwestern point of the African continent), penguins at Boulder Beach, Bo-Kaap (the gorgeous painted rainbow housing district), Cape Point and more! Morné gave us a complete history of Cape Town and was able to fully answer every single question posed by the group. The group of people on the tour was diverse - there were two people from Britain, two Germans, one Swiss person and two Americans but Morné appealed to every single person on the tour and was able to create an appealing and interesting experience for all! The tour was terrific and we would 100% recommend to anyone interested in having a fun, save, inclusive, stimulating experience in Cape Town!

5 star for our tour guide and the company directing the excursion. They were very kind, easy to work with and Thomas arrived on time to pick us up and transport us. Please note this is NOT a private tour, this is moreso a transportation service and agency that booked you tickets for large group tours. So if you think you’re getting a 1:1 tour and trying to avoid large crowds this not for you.
The Robben Island tour is done directly through the museum and there is no option for a private tours… Listen up, because this is what I wish I knew before signing up for this. The Robben Island tour process was lengthy and disorganized and once you get there you are herded like cattle in groups of 50+ people. The initial tour starts via jammed packed ferry ride to the island and once arrived at the island you were forced onto old buses filled to max capacity for the tour. In all the reviews I read, I did not know that was how the tour was set up and if you get motionsick, I do not recommend. There is no option to leave Robben Island early— you have to stay the entire length (8am-1pm). They had a convenient store on property but their card readers were down and would only accept rand cash. Long story short if you’re in Cape Town on holiday, save your time and see any of the other incredible things the city/ country has to offer.

The entire day was very well organized and planned. Prompt pickup at hotel and a clear explanation of how the day would unfold. Small group so very casual feel and relaxed environment.
Reagan, our guide, was energetic and personable. He adapted to unforeseen changes (Chapman Drive being closed) with an alternate route and kept us on schedule. I especially appreciated him letting my wife and I walk the Cape Point trail even though the rest of the group wanted to take the vehicle straight to the lighthouse. We paid him back for his flexibility by making sure we got the trail done and saw the lighthouse in the allotted time. We are fit so if you plan to do the trail take no more than 30 mins to get to the lighthouse or you will be late and hold the group back.
Boulders Beach was incredible as well. No waiting in the (long) lines. Again - thanks Reagan. You da man!!!!
All in all I highly recommend this tour and cannot say enough about Reagan, who made the day fun and informative with his commentary.

Alex was our driver and guide - we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend booking a private car with him! Alex was very responsive via WhatsApp, showed up exactly on time, and mapped out an excellent itinerary for us as we went down the cape peninsula. For each stop he told us the details and options and we were able to spend as much or as little time as we wanted. He also was flexible and adjusted our itinerary as we needed throughout the ride. The drive itself was smooth, the vehicle was spacious and comfortable, and Alex is extremely knowledgeable! He knows so much about the history and the region and was an excellent driver and tour guide for us. He made the entire day so easy and enjoyable - highly recommend this experience! Would do another private car with Alex next time we’re in South Africa.

Today we toured Cape Town extensively on the Table Mountain and Cape of Good Hope tour. Much of the day was spent learning about the history of South Africa, as well as the development of the country over the centuries. Lucadel was our guide and he was simply awesome. Looking out for our safety, helping not get swindled by vendors, finding great places to stop and get unbelievable photos and videos, and great spots to eat and snack.
We got picked up at our respective hotels, and 12 hours later was dropped back off exhausted but fulfilled.
I bought this online via third party but if you book directly through them it will be more inexpensive. We had an eclectic group, 8 with two children and we made some off the beaten path stops also, one to take a glass bottom boat ride to see some seals.
I cannot stress enough how impressive Lucadel was. When I come back I will be bringing my friends and family to take this tour. Weather didn’t allow us to get up to Table Mountain but the tickets are good for 7 days.

This tour was amazing and certainly comprehensive. Lucadel shared so much knowledge about great South Africa and was very accommodating to the needs of our group. I saw a lot, learned a lot, and had a lot of fun. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see unique aspects of Cape Town and hear stories from a local perspective. Had an amazing trip yesterday visiting Table Mountain, the penguins at Boulders Beach, and Cape Point. Our tour guide was Reagan, who made the day fun and knew his stuff. Communication prior to going on the trip was first class, and on the day Reagan made sure we all had prepurchased our cableway tickets, and then stopped at a cash point so we had the cash necessary for other entry fees (penguin colony and Cape Hope National Park) which meant quicker access. We travelled as a small group of only 8, which was perfect, and Reagan soon had a group of strangers chatting.
First stop was Table Mountain, luckily there were no queues so access was quick. After an introduction to the mountain top we had time to walk around for 45 mins before departing. We then headed to Boulders Rock, and here Reagan suggested taking the boardwalk to the right which is less used due to there being steps which was the right thing to do, before stopping in Simon’s Town for lunch. After lunch we headed to Cape Hope National Park. Reagan pointed out wildlife to us, seeing ostriches and elands, and the acted as photographer for the group. He also stopped at a few places on route for photo opportunities around Clifton, Hout’s Bay, Bo-Kaap, with lots of info and also commentary as he was driving us from place to place. We were out for over 10 hours but the day flew by. Would highly recommend this tour, and this company and Reagan in particular. Thanks Reagan

Our group of 9 adults booked 2 private day tours from Cape Town through Beyond Africa Safaris. Amy at the tour company handled all the arrangements and communication was timely and responsive during the booking process. Ruben was our guide for both days and he was absolutely fantastic. He was not only fun but very knowledgable about Cape Town and all the towns and locations we visited as well as the history, vegetation and animals, of the area. The first day we traveled the beautiful coastline to Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape Point and Boulders beach to see the penguins with various stops along the way for photos. The 2nd day we did the winelands tour and traveled to Franschhoek and Stellenbosch and did wine tastings at 4 wineries: La motte, Delaire Graff Wine Estate, Delheim Wine Estate and Fairview Wine Estate. All 4 were unique and beautiful with great wines and great service. Ruben was also knowledgeable on the wine country and its origins and always made sure that our group was having a fun and enjoyable experience. We can’t say enough about his professionalism and fun spirit. Would definitely recommend this tour company and Ruben as your guide.

With reference to your tour "From Cape Town: Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope & Penguins including Park Fees" , is the boat ride to seal island included?
Can this tour be converted to a group tour with other families booking with you for same date?

Advised to purchase table mountain cable car tickets ourselves. Your itinerary says we'll go there in the morning. If weather doesn't allow we'll go there at end of tour. If we purchase tickets for the morning would we be able to use them in the afternoon if needed
