This place is so fantastic-one could spend an entire day here! There is so much to see - every African handicraft you can imagine under one roof. Textiles, jewelry, clothing, malachite, masks, the most stunning wood products. FABULOUS!

Fabulous shopping at the Watershed. The items there are hand crafted or made in South Africa. They are all small, locally owned shops. The selection is sensational. The prices are quite reasonable. I wish I had longer and more weight allowed in my suitcase.

What a great place for one-stop shopping in Cape Town. The space has the feel of an old warehouse and is conveniently located by the Waterfront. It's huge so you can easily spend several hours browsing the various shops which sell a wide range of well made handicrafts from jewelry, to art, to clothes, baskets, and the like. They have a wide range of products. I picked up a number of different items as Christmas gifts for family members and know they will be very excited to have such unique items. There are a few food vendors as well but there is also a food hall right next door with a great selection of cuisines if you get hungry.

We found a lot of really neat things at this diverse market area including clothing, accessories, art work, home goods, etc. Be sure to check out Alda and Bikis's paintings on the first floor to the south side of the building. Their work is amazing and Bikis was such a pleasure to meet and interact with!

....We have not been here for ages and was such an enlightening experience to see how it has been improved! There is just about everything under the sun to be found here! Health, Beauty, Arts & Crafts, etc, etc. The restrooms are clean! When in Cape Town and in the area do make a point of visiting but make sure you have loads of time and yes money too. NB! There is also Free WiFi available which is an awesome bonus..PS! There are lots of Hand Sanitising Spray-Bottles around and the rule is clear No Mask No Entree to the plus minus 150 shops under this one roof.....

If you're looking for high quality artisan souvenirs, handicrafts, and art, this is the place to go. Located in the tony V&A Waterfront, you'll find countless stalls filled with unique gifts and things to bring home. Even if you're not looking to buy, there's plenty of beautiful things worth browsing.

Clothes, paintings, carvings, jewelry, souvenirs, plus more---they have it. There is a wide assortment of booths--lots of good quality and fair prices. If you are from out of town and are limited on time and would like to bring something home from South Africa, this is the one place to visit. It is located right on the waterfront, so if you have time, there are many other activities located right there--plus, numerous dining choices. Check out my photos for more details.

Great little marketplace selling a range of goods to suit all pockets.
Nicely set out and none of the stall holders we spoke to came over as pushy so made for a relaxing browsing experience.
Bought quite a few souvenirs

This is another must do when you are local. There is a huge diversity of stalls and some really nice items to buy. All the stall holders are really nice and many of them are the people who actually made the items for sale. If you want a souvenir that is authentically from South Africa then this is the place to go. There is also a vast range in prices.

Well laid out, free wifi and a nice cafe inside. The little boutiques are for entrpeneurs setting up business we brought some things here which were well designed and maid. Not tacky at all, busy and the food market is next door which is a must visit. Also really good toilet facilities
