We did thre 20 day trip from Capetown through Namibia , Botswana and on to Vic Falls. We chose the Lodge accomodation and were very happy with all the lodges we stayed at , food was always good and there was a nice balance of travel and different things to do . The pace was well managed given that we covered 5700k, with some long days getting to places which we expected. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and a pleasure to have around. Mishek was full of fun facts and stories and handled the driving and Tour lead very well. Our group of 16 travellers proved to be wonderful travel companions and everyone got along really well. Would recommend this trip to anyone who has a sense of adventure and will enjoy seeing the wildlife in their environment. We saw the big 5 and will have lifelong memories of this trip.

Well, what can I say, we were shown the best of Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia by our hosts Weston and Thabani who looked after us extremely well. We had a superb two weeks from Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park to Nata Bird Sanctuary and Magadikadi Pans to the Kwai area of Moremi Game Reserve to Maun and the Ocovango Panhandle to Katima Mulilo to Kasane and then to the Chobe River.
The range of wildlife including lions, leopards, giraffe, zebra, wild dogs, hippo, elephants, fish eagles, kingfishers, cranes, honey bee birds to name just a few was outstanding. All the guides we had were excellent, knowledgeable and with their tracking skills knew the best possible places to view wildlife.
If you want a very well organised trip, great food, great company and the opportunity to see a huge range of wildlife we would highly recommend Kiboko and especially Weston and Thabani.

Delightful trip with Adam from Kiboko. We booked a 2 week trip travelling through Namibia, Botzwana and concluded in Zimbabwe. Experiences and tours were well organised, accomodation was great. Adam is experienced, knowledgable, and patient. He has a great sense of humour and we thrilled to have our holiday guided by him. There was some long days on the road and some Namibian roads provided for a bumpy ride of the bus. Recommend you download audiobooks, podcast and music to pass the time.

For my first visit to Africa, I could not have picked a better group. Kiboko and our guide Mischek organized and delivered a wonderful tour which included all the highlights for South Africa west coast, Namibia and the Okavango Delta. The lodges were all wonderful, the food was very good. The travel pace was fast but we all agreed to it and did not want to miss anything. Our guide Mischek did everything to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and created a tight knit group which now share a lifetime of memories. He was so informative and kept us informed and aware at all times.

Best tour ever in Africa. Beside the amazing places that we visited (Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia), the best part of our trip were for sure our guides: Weston, Lucky, Mdudu. We couldn’t ask for more beautiful people. Thanks for everything guys and see you soon

My wife and I travelled with Kiboko on the transkalahari lodges trip from Cape Town to Vic Falls. To start, our guide Misheck was wonderful, very knowledgeable, professional and a aimable host. The lodges were all phenomenal with great food and relaxing atmosphere. The game drives and road present the real adventure. A superb value and lifetime of memories.

Travelling to Africa was something I had always wanted to do and travelling with Kiboko was the perfect way to travel across multiple countries and to learn about different cultures, wildlife and to truly appreciate the vastness and contrasting landscapes - something you can really only do via road. Our guide Misheck was so informative from everything from wildlife, plant life, local languages and traditions and ensured that each and every person on the tour not only saw all there was to see in the time we had, but also had the opportunity to learn to appreciate every aspect. We began the tour as strangers but our group left feeling like we were part of a family that shared in a once in a lifetime experience - testament to not only an incredible itinerary from Kiboko but an incredibly well organised tour and guide. The accomodation we had across the tour was very impressive, as was the food and the range of activities. There were so many highlights (Cape Towns’ stunning cityscapes through to incredible natural wonders such as Victoria Falls and the Okavanga Delta) it’s hard to single out one in particular but Namibia will always hold special memories- climbing the dunes, the other worldly scenery of Sossusvlei through to the breath-taking Fish River Canyon, it’s hard to fathom there could be so much beauty in a desert. The other thing I shall always remember is the people we met throughout our trip, such friendliness, hospitality and resilience. I would whole heartedly recommend travelling to Africa, and definitely recommend travelling with Kiboko.

Did the Delta&Wildlife Adventure with Kiboko. I cannot recommend this tour enough. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Everything about this tour was 5 out of 5. Nonki our tour guide was the best. Her driving , organisation, knowledge and sense of adventure was awesome. The animals we saw just blew my mind. I never thought we would see so many different animals especially in Chobe. The food and accommodation was great. Kiboko also use the best local guides which made our experiences very authentic and memorable. The best travel experience I’ve ever had. I hope I can do another Kiboko tour in the future. Thank you Nonki andKiboko.

Cape Town to Victoria Falls
An incredible adventure/safari tour, filled with many different sights and experiences that I'll never forget.
The tour began in Cape Town and we travelled through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
Organisation of the tour was excellent.
I must give huge thanks, praise and respect to Collen (our tour guide and driver), also Promise and Sakeeley (our cooks and camping experts).
They worked extremely hard and did everything to make the whole tour experience as comfortable, interesting and enjoyable as possible.
Thank you guys!!!

I am an Australian doing the Transkalahari Adventure Northbound in July 2020 I believe I need a visa for part of the trip. Can I apply online or otherwise do I get it on arrival in Cape Town ?

The only visa you need is for Zimbabwe. This you will get at the border upon entry - USD30 per person. It is very simple to get at the border. Other countries on this tour you do not need visas for.

Bonjour Alexandra,
Emmanuel
Hi i Am going on trans Kalahari tour from vic falls to capetown in May this year and wondered if anyone did the optional tours in Botswana.and if they were worthwhile. There doesn’t seem to be much included tours here apart from etosha Nat park. Thanks nora

We will be going on this tour in about a month. What would you advise is needed for money... did you use "Rand, pula" or other currency. Also what would your recommendation be as to how much to bring with us.

Hi, in Zimbabwe and Botswana we used U.S dollars, things are very cheap there so you don't need a lot. We used rand on sth Africa as they won't take anything else. It is hard to say how much spending money you need not knowing what you will buy. You will go to a few markets where you need cash to buy souvenirs. Have a great trip.
Bonjour,

Cordialement
