A short distance form Cape Town and a scenic route slightly off the normal tourist route. Stop in Melkbosstrand for a meal !

We had an awesome time over the weekend.
Time passed too quickly.
I rate them 100% because of my experience.

West coast is the more quiet side of Cape Town, or so one is made to believe. It has the the nice laid back places but also lots of exciting pubs and live music if you into that. People are generally very friendly. Coast line is a view that must be savoured.

Its close proximity to Cape Town and easy access to the seaside resorts & towns further north make this an ideal base from which to explore
It has its own shopping center and is a mere 10 minutes from Table View with its malls, major concerns, restaurants and night life.
With un-spoilt beaches and views of Table Mountain.
There are numerous Churches and a Rotary Organization.
Locally there is a Country Club, library, golf course, tennis, squash, bowls, driving range, cricket, paint ball, 4x4 track and an Olympic sized swimming pool (at Ou Skip Caravan Park).
A nature reserve and hiking trails.
Fishing, surfing and the majority of aquatic sports are popular in and around Melkbosstrand and parachuting is close by
Ou Skip is a large resort and very popular with holiday makers, it also has permanent accommodation in the form of leasehold Plettenberg homes.
Local restaurants and pubs of all types are in abundance, proving popular with both locals and tourists / out of town visitors.
This is a gem of a place in which to live or holiday!
