No communication from staff pretty much from beginning to end. Left 2 hours late arrived back also almost 2 hours late. In Simonstown you have to pay for a taxi into town also not the amount that was told to us on the train. Children...More

We wanted to go to winery's and looked for this train so we could give kids a different experience. Unfortunately train wasn't leaving that day but we could see him. It is just one train at the station, from 1910 and it is well maintained...More

What a fantastic day out, a lovely old steam train, and some of the friendliest heritage steam crews, you could ever wish to meet. Service was excellent. We would highly recommend this tour.

If you love steam trains this is definitely for you. Took the trip from Cape Town to Stellenbosch. Views approaching Stellenbosch are spectacular. Train is run by volunteers and they are so enthusiastic about what they do that you must talk to them
