This is really a hidden gem in the Durbanville vineyards! R25 per tasting and when purchasing wine over the price of R100 the tasting is for free. Very knowledgeable team and super friendly and bubbly. Nicely shaded areas with beautiful views. This is by far one of my favorite vineyards. Also the Cheese and meat platter is really lovely and... Being from the wine region of California I just can't say enough good things about the experience of wine tasting in the Cape Town region of South Africa. Diemersdal is a perfect example of what is good in this area. Great old venue, beautiful scenery, relaxed atmosphere, and very nice wines. And if you want a meal they have a... More

I booked lunch at the Restaurant for our large group celebrating a birthday. We started at the wine tasting half an hour prior to lunch time and so enjoyed the tasting (relaxed atmosphere and knowledgable staff) that we ended up late to lunch. Despite being a little worried that we might encounter a frosty reception at the restaurant for all... More

I have been wine tasting at Diemersdal before, but decided to combine it with lunch this time. I was not disappointed. The wine tasting was excellent - good wines and informative staff. Their Eight Rows Sauvignon Blanc is excellent - 2013 having just been released The restaurant is in an old barn next to the tasting room. There is a... More

We really enjoyed our lunch at Diemersdal. We were informed of the set menu in advance (its posted on their webpage too) and it was served in a very casual family style. Excellent soup and generous breads. The mains of roast chicken and all the trimmings were delicious. The cherry on the cake was that all the superb Diemersdal wines... More

A total of 11 adult children and grandchildren were there for what should have been and enjoyable lunch. Firstly, we had to postpone the Saturday to Sunday as limited menu available. The dishes were randonly selected. the starter was doughy with a unknown filling. The main was chicken an pork with no real vegetables, but an assortment of things. The... More

This a beautiful estate and the wines are excellent. I love Sauvignon Blanc and this estate does several! Eight Rows being my favourite. Beautiful setting and tasting inside an old Cape Dutch building. Very informative and you could taste what you wanted, no charge at the moment. The food also looked very good and it is a great place to... More

We visited the newly opened Diemersdal Restaurant. There is room for improvement, hope it is just teething problems. Consider citronella candles to keep the flies away inside the restaurant. We had the Winelands platters. The menu states variety of cold meats and cheese, preserves and pickles. The biscuits and pickles was missing. Only knives was provided to eat and scoop... More

Diemersdal Restaurant opened recently, and we had lunch there on Saturday, end of October. A table was set up for us outside in the shade (it was very hot). The menu is not extensive yet, but we ordered two Tapas Platters and some lovely 2012 Sauvignon Blanc. The platters were out of the world - something really different. Things like... More
