Greted vey friendly and helpful. Ordered a bottle of Malbec 2019, as well as cheese platter. Both at R120 a piece. Cheese from Dalewood always a winner. Malbec was average in comparison to other farms'.
Girls working at the tasting room all besutiful and friendly, but forgot to ask once if all was good.
Will do proper wine tasting next time

Knowledgeable, very friendly service + Great wines + Beautiful surroundings. Add to that a beautiful autumn day. Definitely worth visiting!
We loved all the wines we tasted - it was difficult to choose what to buy! Lovely cheeses on their cheese platter and we could order soft drinks for our teenagers.

Had a wine and snacks with friends at the winery. Very good setting and the wine is excellent. Try the Sauvignon blanc or Shiraz.

Christmas lunch at Diemersdal was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious with each of the five courses beautifully presented and full of delightful surprises. Fine dining in a relaxed and friendly restaurant in a very picturesque setting.

I had never been to a wine farm in Durbanville only the big ones in Paarl and Stellenbosch. Diemersdal was a treat. Very interesting personalised tour of how the wine is made. Very friendly staff. Then to the patio under the vines, to taste a variety of wines. The crisp dry Rose is a lovely. We got a cheese platter and chattered away in the lovely surrounds.

Had a lovely Sunday afternoon, sipping on the delightful malbec and watching my daughter run around on the lawn. Staff were very friendly and superbly knowledgeable. Well done to the Louws on a very special place!

We had a good afternoon although it was very windy. Lovely lawn for the kids to play on. Service was good. Setting lovely. Food was a little disappointing but not bad.
Only other time I have been there was also during a Restuarant week. Would like to try it out of this time for ala cart before I make up my mind.

As South African wine lover and friend of unwooded white wines, I get my money worth at the Diemersdal farm. I was pleasantly surprised about the high quality of the tested wines and enjoyed the stay and the service of the amiable and skilled female staff.
The classically styled 2017 Sauvignon Blanc with its mineral character has the typical tropical fruit nose and was the perfect starter of the wine tasting. The 2017 unwooded Chardonnay was the Sauvignon Blanc equal in all respects and persuaded with the creamy taste and lingering aftertaste.
A very big surprise was the excellent 2017 Sauvignon Blanc Winter Ferment with the intense aroma, the natural acidity and rich mouth-filling texture. I hope I can buy this superb white wine also in Germany.
The medium-bodied 2017 Grüner Veltliner with 6 months post fermentation was of high quality but for my taste not dry enough.
Very good was the 2017 Malbec with 14 months French oak maturation. It is a complex wine with good structure and a mineral core.
I finished the wonderful tasting with a full-bodied and well balanced Pinotage Reserve 2016 with complex aromas from French oak barrels . The grapes for this wine comes from 50% 43 year old bush vines and the other 50% from 23 year old trellised vines.
Diemersdal is a good place for wine tasting in the Cape Town region and always worth to come again.

I really like the laid back feel at Diemersdal. I have been here a couple of times before but haven't visited for a few years.
We did the full wine tasting. Most of the wines I enjoyed and the server was very informative and spoke knowledgeably about the wines.
We enjoyed the Gruner Veltlinerso much, that we bought a bottle to enjoy in the gardens.
The views are lovely and there are some old Cape Dutch buildings on the farm.
It was a late Friday afternoon when we visited and people were enjoying platters at the outside tables

How do I write a credible review without gushing? Every single wine we tasted was superb, the food at the restaurant was sublime, the staff were friendly and helpful and the surroundings were serene and beautiful. We stayed far longer than expected, and left this happy place with great reluctance, but replenished in body and soul.
Diemersdal is a class act!
P.S. If I could make one suggestion to management: the cheese platter was yummy but could you also offer charcuterie?
