After moving to Cape Town we bought an annual 'cable card' which allows for unlimited rides and comes in very handy after hiking up the mountain on any of the various routes. The staff are friendly and every ride makes us proud to live here.

At first I wasn't keen on going to Table Mountain Cableway as I had been up there quite a few times already, but eventually my friends and family convinced me to come with them! I am so happy that I actually went- myself and one of my friends decided we would do the tour on Table Mountain and I was... More

Wonderful cable car trip up to Table mountain! Long lines went quick because of nice, good staff! Buy your tickets online or on hop on hop off buses to avoid queues to buy tickets.

This is the easiest way to get up and down the mountain. The ticket purchase process is very simple either online or in person. You should check the weather before planning a trip because the cable car does get shut down periodically because of strong winds.

This is a must do for Cape Town, the revolving cable car is great experience. I would recommend visiting Table Mountain as soon as you can in case the table cloth descends and the cable car is closed.

Best to book online and in advance to avoid the long queues to the ticketing office. Downside is that it is hard to predict the weather when booking in advance. The afternoon segment is probably better as the day will cool down and there is a chance to catch the clouds floating in to cover the mountain.

If you are in cape town, you definitely must visit Table Mountain. The view from above is breathtaking, you can see all of cape town, the ocean and you can definitely take pictures for a life time... highly recommended! There is a nice restaurant where you can eat and even grab some beer!

We visited on a beautiful morning having bought our tickets online. My partner had never visited and it was her birthday. I have been up to the summit a number of times. The views were spectacular as it was crystal clear at the top but the whole of Table Bay and Camps Bay were covered in cloud. It is a... More

The tram makes the hike up all the better. The hike is fantastic and a must do. Takes 1-3 hours depending on your physical ability. The views along the way are rewarding. When you get to the top, walk around and you are then rewarded with a tram ride to the bottom.

I know people say run to the tabletop the moment the sky clears and for good reason. The view is gorgeous. But while we were at the top there was a sudden shift in weather and the clouds just came pouring in and that took my breathe away! It was just drop dead gorgeous. I particularly enjoyed the cable ride... More
