The cable car is fast and it's a nice experience to go on a mountain which is naturally flat on top. The view from the top is good. The grape flavour sorbet near the ticket counter is fab! One must go there for the experience they also call it natural wonder of the world it indeed is!

Tip: Arrive early. If you are based in Sea Point don't use the Hop On Hop Off City Sightseeing bus which doesn't start till 9:20. Tip: Buying tickets in advance helps a little but when I was there the queue for those of us with tickets was almost as long as the queue for those without. I had to queue... More

The long wait and over priced entry was well worth the breath taking views from the top of Table Mountain. The tour guide staff were all very helpful and happy to assist with all our questions and demands. However the canteen staff were impolite and short. Despite some of the negativity, I would recommended this outing to even the local... More

The cable car ride to Table Mountain is spectacular. The queuing process is efficient but if you can buy a ticket on line it will speed things up. When you get into the gondola most rush for the open window but as you travel both up and down it rotates giving everyone the full 360 viewing experience. The panoramic view... More

We hesitated to go because of the cloudy weather, but it was actually more magical in the clouds. The sun came out later , so we got the best of both worlds. No waiting at all, sometimes it seemed like we were the only people up top.

My husband & I aren't good with heights, but we both felt totally safe in the Cable car going up & down Table Mountain, even though it slowly turns around whilst going up & down. The only downside was all the queuing, but it was very well organised & you got in quicker if you bought your ticket for Table... More

If you visit Cape Town then Table Mountain is a must do and for many this is the most logical way to get up there. The views from the summit are amazing and the cable car is a great way to start. Slowly rotating the cable car ensures everyone gets equal views. Be aware of parking issues at the bottom,... More

Great views and a fast and easy way to get up Table Mountain. Go VERY early and buy tickets in advance to avoid lines (it officially opens at 8am and when we arrived at 8 there was already a 15-20 minute wait, even with advance-purchased tickets).

The day was clear and so the cable cars were running. If it is at all cloudy or windy they do not run. It was an amazing experience and i don't like cable cars!

Although tickets had been purchased online in advance we still had to join an hour queue before moving to the second queue. A very slow process and a little frustrating. Revolving cable car was great and everyone had a good view. Be advised...it is extremely cold at the top so come prepared. Great views when weather is good.Queued for over... More
