Ocean and Vine Adventures & Tours ( T/A as WILDTRACKERS private safaris ) is a Cape Town based Tour Operator, established in 1998 by Wayne and Catherine Donaldson. We believe that quality of service and the personal touch make a big difference to our guests. Every guest has a different expectation of their time on tour. It is for this reason that we prefer to offer private tours. We are able to structure packages according to our client's requests, time constraints and budget. We welcome questions and are happy to organise your entire stay in South Africa , including accommodation all around the country, tours, internal flights and safari packages to our Private and National Parks.We specialise in privately guided safaris in Southern Africa, as well as private up-market tours around the Western Cape & Cape Town.

We were introduced to Wayne Donaldson through friends and used Wayne as our travel guide for our recent holiday to Sth Africa . Wayne worked with our preferred itinerary , booked our accommodations arranged transfers , and booked the most fabulous safari on our behalf af Shamwari game reserve prior to us arriving . Wayne communicated regularly with us before our arrival and made the planning of our trip very straightforward . When in Sth Africa Wayne personally drove us from Cape Town through the garden route to Eastern Cape until we reached Shamwari . We stopped at various places on route where Wayne arranged wine tasting trips as well as a range of excursions including boat trips , visits to elephant and monkey sanctuaries , ostrich farms , nature reserves , caves as well as booking us some fabulous restaurants .
Throughout our trip Wayne went beyond and above to ensure we had the most amazing holiday always ensuring we were safe and able to make the most of our stay . Wayne is a great driver and his car was very comfortable despite some long journeys . Wayne is very knowledgable about wildlife and fauna and made our car journeys interesting by pointing out bird and animal life on route . Wayne always accommodated our wishes . The accommodation he booked was fabulous and his local knowledge of great restaurants, good wine and wineries was much appreciated . We felt completely at ease with Wayne he is good company and genuinely a nice guy . We had the most fabulous holiday and would not hesitate in recommending Wayne to friends and family and hope one day to return to beautiful South Africa .

Wayne helped make a fantastic experience truly once-in-a-lifetime! He planned the perfect itinerary for the limited time that we had and provided informative commentary without overdoing it. When I was feeling under the weather one day he graciously altered the schedule. He was always prompt and flexible. Thanks Wayne!

Spectacular, unforgettable, emotional. What an amazing experience Wayne put together for our family in July. My sister had a wonderful honeymoon with Wayne years ago, so I knew we were in good hands when we started planning our trip but wow, Wayne exceeded any and all expectations. From our time in Victoria Falls, to Botswana, and then South Africa, everything was seamless. His coordination of accommodations, transportation including private flights, food, and outfitters for special excursions were all perfect. I don’t think you will come across a more knowledgeable guide in the bush and his passion and love of what he does is evident in the stories he shares from his years growing up in the Timbavati. Every day was more incredible than the next with sighting after sighting of all the things. Sure, we saw elephants, giraffes, leopards, rhinos. hippos and lions, but thrown in a honey badger, porcupine, fighting ostrich and more for good measure. It was as if we would will something into the universe and bam, there it would be like stalking cheetah or a sunning dragon lizard! The sights and sounds of dozens of elephants coming to drink at a watering hole one after another will stay with us forever as will a pack of 16 lions jowl to jowl drinking after a kill at sundown. The special attention Wayne gave to birthdays and anniversaries celebrated while on holiday was extra special too. Sundowner cocktails with a side of zebras and hyenas. Bush coffee with Amarula and impala. This is the life and this bucket list trip has our hearts forever.

We had a fantastic week with Wayne, who served as both host and safari guide for my elderly mother (87), my husband, our two kids (daughter 8, son 10), and me during our recent stay at Timbavati. We spent six days at a private game reserve (Walkers River Camp) with him and were lucky enough to witness some incredible wildlife.
Wayne is not only highly knowledgeable but also an intuitive guide—an invaluable skill in the bush. His “sixth sense” with animals, knowing the best times and locations for viewing, truly enhanced our experience. As a talented photographer, he consistently positioned us for far better views than other safari guides, helping us capture those perfect photographic moments.
Wayne was also a great cook he tailored simple home style meals for us each night, which really suited us as a family. We were able to plan meals ahead, and he was accommodating of all the little quirks that come with feeding kids.
Overall, I highly recommend Wayne. He is an organized, deeply knowledgeable guide, and made a genuine effort to accommodate our family, which isn’t easy with ages ranging from 8 to 87. He made us all feel welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. Thanks Wayne we had a great and memorable time thanks to you!

Wayne was a fantastic tour guide. He made our much awaited girls trip so much fun. He helped customize our itinerary based on what we wanted to do, and went above and beyond for making it happen. He always ensured we were safe and our requests were taken care of. He knows his way around the bush and SA in general, we will definitely be booking with Wayne every time we visit now.

We booked a tour with Wayne who was recommended to us by a friend back in Switzerland. The three days included a Stellenbosch wine tour, a Cape Tour and a shark diving + Table Mountain. We can (very much including my kids, 16+19) recommend Wayne for any one interested in seeing things from a different angle. For a wine lover like me a wonderful experience!

What a great experience! We have booked Wayne as our guide for the private Safaris in October and it was the best decision. So many great animal sightings! Wayne knew all the spots and places where to go so we had a fantastic time in the bush. We really enjoyed his cooking skills and the sundowner drinks. If we will ever come back to ZA we would definitely book Wayne as our guide again. Best wishes from the sisters from Germany!

We spent 2.5 weeks on safari /touring South Africa with Wildtrackerssafaris/Ocean and Vine Adventures & Tours and had an amazing experience. Our Guide, Wayne Donaldson, was fantastic. He has deep knowledge of Cape Town, including the Garden Route and is experience as a safari guide is the best. Wayne exceeded our expectations in every way and provided the 6 of us with a trip of a lifetime. All accommodations were exceptional, including restaurants and meals prepared in camp. Wayne's knowledge of the bush and animals was such a gift to our overall safari experience. Thanks to Wayne for providing outstanding hospitality and preparing a tour that exceeded all our expectations.

This was my first time in South Africa and on a Safari,
but I don't think it could be better. Our guide and Ranger Wayne shows us so great, interesting and beautiful places. It was a great experience and I when I come back I would only do thus trip with him again.

We were invited guests to Walkers Bush Villa in the Timbavati reserve in July 2019. Thanks Wayne for always finding something spectacular to look at....Leopard (twice) Elephants...soooo many of them and the Lions....to name but a few. Great to have an experienced ranger to learn from on every trip...be it early morning game drives or sundowners. An incredible experience with wonderful memories made.....I think we will all be waving at the Giraffes for many years to come (ha ha ha). Thanks Wayne, much appreciated!!
