Good service and nice place to stay. Mandy was very accommodating, with good customer service and always willing to help. Little Hannah in the kitchen makes a good pizza too.

A lovely sandy white beach with crystal clear water and massive boulders stretching into the ocean at various points. The beach was very busy when we visited but was clean and everybody was friendly. I would not advise it for single woman because there where people on the hiking trail to the beach and sometimes walking up and down the beach that looked like they might be up to no good. We enjoyed sunbathing and swimming in the nude and the locals freely shared their knowledge about the area and other nice destinations to visit. I for one will definitely go back and spend more time on Sandy Bay

This is our MOST FAVORITE beach to visit when in CT. The way nature unfolds with the mountains around you and the beautiful, icy cold Atlantic Ocean is breathtaking. You can just emerse and spend the entire day at the beach not wanting to leave....EVER!! People go about their business and dont bother with you too much. The hike to the beach takes about 25 minutes and is a great workout. Make sure you double, triple check your car is locked and TIP THE CAR GUARD!! He will look after your car while you are enjoying the beach. TRUST ME!!

I really love this beach! The hike down from the carpark upstairs is truly stunning and also very beautiful, and its actually quite easy reacable from central CPT, by taking an uber or bus actually, should not take more then 30 minutes. The beach is very sandy, and its practically an naked beach, altough you see much people naked on the rocks and not on the actual stretch of sand. Also as I am LGBTQI its also an hotspot for that, which you can see on the visitors which is super nice. I would recommend this place especially during the week (as its really quite) but also during the weekends as much of the other beaches are quite busy and than it would be nice to have some calmness.

Sandy Bay is well worth a visit if you are driving on the coast road to Hout Bay. The views from the road are spectacular, and the white sand beach is great.

Nice easy and flat 15 minute hike into the beach. Once at the beach you have plenty of space to spread out. It is a nude beach but being nude is not a requirement. Make sure to bring food and drinks as nothing is sold on the beach and the last water and snacks is before the short walk to the sand.

It was a bit of a walk to get to Sandy Bay, but we were rewarded with spectacular views of the mountains the South Atlantic. The water was far too rough (and cold) for swimming, but it was worth the walk over the dunes.

A beautiful sandy bay. We were there in spring so cant comment on what it will be like in the holiday season. I suspect it would be very popular.

Sandy Bay is a haven, just under half-an-hours drive from city-central Cape Town.
Nestled beneath Karbonkelberg, it has rocky shorelines but also two lovely beaches, one smaller and one much larger. Both are sunny havens and the sand is soft and extends well back on the larger beach, from where the waters break.
The beaches are a fair walk from the area where one would park, which is in the lower reaches of the suburbs of Llandudno, and Sandy Bay is especially popular during summer, so it is best to start your "beach day" early, or be prepared to walk a further distance.
The beaches being fairly far (15 minute walk in), and out of sight from the "suburban" areas, are popular to naturists, and are frequented by adults as well as families.
The environment is a natural paradise, with a backdrop of Karbonkelberg mountain behind you as well as Klein Leeukoppie (Little Lions Head).
Take lots of water to drink, sun hat, sun block and sun glasses (the light-coloured sand and brightness from the sea creates a lot of glare).
The ocean current comes up from the south, so unfortunately, it's really cold, though some do brave it.
A stunning, stunning location - very relaxing, a total breath of fresh air.

Yes you can get the MiCity bus to Llandudno and its about a 15 minute walk down to Sandy bay from the Llandudno turn off bus stop.
Well worth the journey!
More than likely someone will give you lift back up too.
Enjoy
