You cannot visit Cape Town and not spend a day relaxing on one of Clifton's 4 beaches. I usually pick second beach but all of them are great.
Lovely beach, with some great views, couldn’t believe how many people were on the beach for a Friday, temperature drops quite quickly once the sun has set, well worth a visit though Bit of a steep descent / climb so be careful with very young...More

The beach has white sands and blue water. it also has breath taking views of table mountain and the twelve apostles! however the water is really cold and you best dip your legs in there instead of staying in there too long!
If you are planning to enjoy the good weather of south Africa, Clifton Beaches is one of the places to go. The beaches are really beautiful, clean and safe although the services (bars and restaurants) are a little expensive.
All beaches around here including Clifton is safe with Life Guards on patrol for emergencies. It is well worth a visit to saunter not only around the beach are but Clifton itself.
