Full-Day Franschhoek Wine Tram Tour from Cape Town

81 reviews
With three centuries of wine-growing heritage, the Franschhoek Valley is one of the Cape’s top wine areas—and the Franschhoek Wine Tram, a vintage-style tram, is the perfect way to explore. Travel in air-conditioned comfort from downtown Cape Town, then choose between the purple and orange lines. Besides an onboard wine tasting and narration, you have time to visit multiple estates on one of two lines.

We visited this "jewelry" centrally situated in the heart of Cape Town. The charming establishment is in the historical, authentically restored Huguenot House (circa 1752). The welcome and service is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and honest. Beautiful displays of hand crafted jewelry, diamond and other magnificent stones and rings, necklaces and earrings are on offer for reasonable prices. The museum in the basement is a memorable attraction. If you are looking for a professional jeweler, look no further than Prins & Prins.

We were in Capetown for a long weekend and visited Prins and Prins to buy a ring to replace an old one as the stone had fallen out. The service was so warm and helpful and in a beautiful old building which made it special. We loved Leonard’s opinions and knowledge (and humour) and he helped me to find the perfect ring and for far less money than we were expecting to pay. I am absolutely delighted and this is bearing in mind I felt sad about my old ring and wasn’t especially looking forward to this process. I am now planning to have my old engagement ring repurposed into an eternity ring and there is only one place I will be going to for the stones ... Thank you for a memorable experience. Having visited a other establishments in CT this really was the best one.

I am a tour guide and I often take my clients to the excellent museum that they have on the premises. The staff are always professional and very friendly. They take pride in their work and also show interest to each and every client that I bring. The premises are in an old historical house, which has loads of interesting history, beautiful displays of hand crafted jewellery, an array of diamond and tanzanite rings, necklaces and earrings. The museum in the basement tells a wonderful story of the old and new jewellery as well as the history of gold and diamonds found in South Africa. I am impressed each and every time I visit this special hidden gem in the heart of the city of Cape Town
