We were referred to Wayne and Take2Tours from Natasha, a travel agent at Sun Safaris. She was spot on! Wayne tailored a wonderful custom day tour for us to see the major wine regions outside of Cape Town. Traveling with my husband and adult daughter, we were all very impressed with Wayne and his professionalism, friendliness, and down to earth nature. The places he selected were stunning and enjoyable. We felt safe, relaxed and comfortable in his vehicle. He even made a special trip to a famous golf resort and got us access to the clubhouse, a very unexpected and fun gift for my husband who was celebrating his birthday that day! One of his associates spent the day with us taking us around the Cape peninsula and it was equally as enjoyable and memorable! I would recommend without reservation Wayne and his associates for day tours in and around Cape Town.

We had an absolutely brilliant time touring the Cape and Constantia and Stellenbosch wine country with Wayne in April 2022. Wayne was incredibly knowledgeable and had great insight into South Africa's history and current sociopolitical challenges. Hiring Wayne for two days really added value to our experience, and we would not have had nearly as interesting an experience if we had chosen to explore the Cape on our own or self-drive. He was excellent with our teenage children (12 and 15), and arranged many fun activities to keep them occupied, especially on the "wine-focused" day. He also engaged them at their level in order for them to better understand the history of South Africa. We will enthusiastically recommend Wayne and Take 2 Tours to any friends or family visiting the area, and cannot overstate what a positive impact the tours had on our time in SA.

This is my third trip with Wayne of Take2Tours and I consider him a friend as well as an agent. The other trips were in 2008 and 2019. Always excellent. Wayne arranged for 3 nights at De Hoop Nature Reserve for wildlife and nature-based activities and accompanied me. I had wanted to see the bontebok antelope and DeHoop is THE place to see them by the hundreds. Plus much more. Besides DeHoop, we also visited Cape Agulhas, Hermanus, Betty Bay for penguins and Harold Porter National Botanical Garden. We had a marvelous time and everything went smoothly. Wayne knows the best places to stop for a bite to eat along the way. After the Take2Tours part of the trip I did other safari activities and then at the end when I returned to Cape Town, Wayne arranged for a visit to the spectacular Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden. I booked this trip in June of 2019 and it had to be rescheduled twice, so that required Wayne to do these bookings three times. Throughout it all, Wayne kept me posted and was flexible about the cancellations due to covid.

Wayne has ample excellent reviews here, and no surprise. We found him via friends who were also visiting the area and the two couples shared a lovely day with Wayne on a Cape Point tour. Wayne's years of experience in the business and in the area make him the best of tour guides! He personalized our day according to our preferences, giving fun, informative, interesting information along the way, and graciously answering our many questions. He even scheduled a lunch reservation at a perfect location and guided us toward appropriate shopping opportunities and coffee/ice cream stops as he learned our interests throughout the day. Never was Wayne dull or boring or seemed tired of the information himself; although he must have guided this tour thousands of times, he remains animated in his sharing and truly passionate about the area, its history, its people. This is a man of integrity who is passionate about what he does and genuinely interested in each of his clients as individuals. We quickly connected with Wayne via WhatApp (as U.S. cellular users, this is the best method of communication with him and many others in the tourist industry while in South Africa), and he was prompt and courteous in all of his communication. Don't even consider a rental car and navigating the area yourself (especially if you are from somewhere else in the world where cars are driven on the opposite side of the road!) when Wayne and his colleagues will make your tour(s) of the area so pleasant, interesting, care-free, safe, and fun! We tried to hire Wayne again a few days later to tour a different area, but no surprise that he was already booked. As the world moves further past pandemic and the tourist/travel industry picks up, book him early! Even after our tour with Wayne, he continued to answer our questions via WhatsApp, give travel advice, and generally help us navigate the rest of our days not only in Cape Town, but around South Africa. The fee he charges for tours is well worth every dollar just to have not only his expertise, but his genuine kindness as well. You will not be disappointed with your time spent with Wayne.

We are not first time travelers to South Africa; in fact, this was our 11th trip to this spectacular country. We do much of our own bookings for each trip except for the days we will be in Cape Town and the Western Cape. Take2Tours Director Wayne Milne knows every inch of the Cape and is always up to date on the latest restaurants, wineries, hotels and other attractions. Despite knowing South Africa quite well, we always leave it up to Wayne to select an itinerary that reflects the best food, wine and scenic experiences. He never disappoints but continues to amaze us with his spot-on knowledge of new and interesting places to experience. Take2Tours is based in Cape Town; needless to say, no travel agent in the U.S. or Europe knows even a fraction of what Wayne and his team know about South Africa, and especially the Cape.
