Took my son, 12 at the time, with four of his friends. We did the walk around the dam. Easy paths to follow, beautiful flora - ideal for picnic. Boys loved it!

Silvermine is a gem, both north & south side. South is free with parking. North cost you a little but has braai facilities & a dam for warmish swimming (much warmer than the sea). Loads of trails & great views.

The waterfall is definitely drying up. A combination of the warm days, less rain because of summer and condensation. There is still some water but not gushing as much as it was two months ago.

Unfortunately there is no public transport. The best would be to use Uber.
