We discovered Cape Fusion Tours over 10 years ago and have had the pleasure of spending upto 6 days of wine and food tours on every visit. Pam provides simply the best bespoke tours we have ever had, and we are well travelled. Her knowledge regarding food, wine and history is second to none. She arranges wonderful wine tastings and lunches at the hardest places to get into. This time we had 6 tours. Sadly my husband fell ill on the morning of our first tour. Within 2 hours, Pam had rearranged the whole day for me on my own. two fabulous MCC tastings at 2 top wineries, lunch at Tokara then time exploring Stellenbosch. Wonderful girls day out. The second tour Pam concentrated on my husband's favourites, Hartenberg, plus new favourites, Simonseg. Lunch at Delaire Graff, always a treat. The following tours we took in some of the finest wineries, all private with amazing lunches, stops for coffee walking around amazing gardens like Dylan Lewis sculpture garden outside Stellenbosch and the beautiful estate of Vergelgen, in Somerset West. Oysters up the West Coast, just wonderful. Favorite wineries included De Trafford, Klienwood Waterkloof. Lunch included Jordan, Idiom, Waterford. The highlight was a surprise birthday tour around the Peninsula, meeting local people who have a passion for their own craft products, including a gin tasting, beer tasting, fabulous goats cheese tasting in the producers our home, meeting a wonder lady called Sophia who started work on project to grow and sell organic fruit and vegetable as part of a local collective. A passionate lady, she works amazingly hard. From a very under privileged start she is a true inspiration. All these things would not be available from your run of the mill tours. Our days with Pam continue to be our favourite time in Cape Town. See ya next year.

My wife and I traveled to South Africa in March 2022 for a delayed honeymoon trip. The Cape Fusion Day Tours were the highlight of our trip! Shelley was our guide for three days on the Cape Town Eats, Peninsula tour, and Wine tour. She was FANTASTIC! Very interesting with a great sense of humor. We learned an incredible amount about the country and its people. Shelley listened to what we were looking for in a tour and delivered every step of the way. We highly recommend Shelley and Cape Fusion Tours.

We always seek out a food tour wherever we are in the world and this was definitely a good one. Cath, our lovely guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, the history and the food we ate. Adapting to places that were closed due to us inadvertantly choosing a public holiday to have our tour on(!). Cath took us to some stunning places to eat amazing food. We were taken to off the beaten track, sometimes quirky, sometimes unusual but always interesting places. We felt very safe walking some of the quieter streets as Cath engaged with the locals and appeared to be fairly well known in the area. A really lovely way to spend the day enjoying and learning about the food and culture. As advised we came hungry (no breakfast at all as our tour started at 08:30) and left so full around mid afternoon. It's a walking tour of 6+ hours but this is not arduous, it's a slow saunter with lots of stops to sit and eat (the advice of sunscreen and hats was good and as you're walking on streets/pavements then sandals are enough if you've not brought trainers) We had a cab to get us there so Cath conveniently walked us back in the direction of our hotel which made for a quick and easy return for us at the end of our tour. Food sampled on our tour (but I understand each tour varies depending on what's open and what you like to eat): pastries, coffee, chocolates, cake, toasties, biltong, rooibos, cheesecake, Portuguese tart, Faeeza's delicious samosas and bhajis, ribs & beer, even a wine tasting. Easy booking (direct by email) and great communication throughout for booking/payment/confirmation/reminder (thank you Chongo and Pamela!). We used their secure online payment method a few days before but there is the option to pay cash on the day too. Overall: highly recommended and whilst not the cheapest your available, DEFINITELY great value for money (and if you book, can we come too please?!)

We had a wonderful day walking around Cape Town tasting all sorts of delicious local food at little local cafes - a great relief from the endless formal tasting menus - and learning about CapeTown’s history. Ryan was an excellent guide. Everything was expertly arranged by Pamela. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

We did a full-day food tour in Cape Town with Shelly. As a family of 5 (kids ages 18-23) we had an amazing day. The food was unique and delicious, combined with a great history of the city and country. Shelly is a warm, fun intelligent guide who truly loves people and her gorgeous city. Highly recommend!!!
