We learned so much about apartheid in this tour. The tour on the island is so informative --- although we were on a brand new bus, seated towards the back and the microphone system was not working correctly and so we missed a lot of...More

What a disappointment compared to 12 years ago. The group numbers were to large could not hear the guide and the board with all the information. How insulting to find out the cell the guide told us which was Nelson Mandela’s cell this time was...More

Read the reviews they describe the tour well, thanks to the guides who really made this tour come alive, particularly the drivers and to be in the presence of an actual prisoner was extremely humbling. The Island needs a good clean, the buses are a...More

I found this visit hugely interesting, the background to Madela (and others) experience was fascinating , with our guide as an ex prisoner the depth he brought to the trip was a real highlight. The prisoner population is getting older so these stories should be...More

Very interesting tour and will always be a must do, given the footsteps in which you walk. It is great to hear the first hand account from a past political prisoner. However there were a huge number of people on the tour (60+) so not...More

Robben Island is Famous because of Nelson mandella. There really isn’t much to see but it’s kind of something you have to do! You need your passport to buy a ticket!

You can’t imagine how bad this trip/company is organized. Our tour has been canceled twice for « weather conditions » at the last minute. It is said that you will be refunded automatically but two months later, no refund and no one answering our emails. What a...More

We visited the island during the summer in December, and located seats on the lower deck of the boat under the fan vent, so the boat ride was very comfortable. The island has a lot more on it than just the prison, and the bus...More

As said by others, you spend quite some time on the bus and while in the walking tour you can seat. Don't worry it's really worth seeing it

It is chaotic at the Quay and where there is chaos there are opportunities. You might find a hotel concierge, not necessarily your one, might be able to help for a fee.
