Though the beach is still popular, the elegant splendor that once graced this seaside resort community barely shows through the paved-over streets, fast-food eateries and shopping centers.

Beautiful beach. Great to watch surfers on certain days. The iconic beach huts are quite a site to behold. Ideal place to learn surfing as a beginner.

Two day trips to Muizenberg were well worth it for this surf starved Aussie. 30 minutes in an inexpensive Uber from our hotel in Cape Town central took me to Surfers Corner - a buzzing surf centre. Hired a suit and board easily ( and...More

I have been to this beach twice now - 15 years apart. Since 2003 the area has developed substantially and it is now very crowded and parking is challenging. This used to be a small town beach with local shops and it's now packed with...More

Well worth a visit just to see the iconic rainbow coloured beach changing huts. We were there on a very windy day so only stayed a short while to take in the beauty of this vast expanse of beach with its beautiful views and quirky...More

1000 surfers, seems like everyone was surfing wether you had experience or no. A nice stop for a beach day, a party night, or just a stop on the way to Cape of good hope.

The beach in Muizenberg is simply stunning. The sand is soft and the water inviting. It was very crowded and atmospheric when we visited. We worth going to.

We went to the beach recently and literally, there was almost no space to walk. It was full from shoreline to the very back wall. We literally could only walk along a small path at the back, which was also full. You had to walk...More

Went for my first surfing lessons on Muizenberg beach, the waves were just right not too strong. The beach was wonderful and had a lot of people but there was more than enough space for everyone. Would go back any time

Very beautiful and clean beach, I really enjoyed the view and swimming there with the strong and nice waves. It's a good choice for surfers, Also the colorful houses on the beach are very nice.

SURF, learn to surf, just enjoy the beach & waves. Get your feet wet, relax. Embarrassed by the local vagrants pissing & poo-ing wherever they can at one extreme, & by the arrogant Rang-Rover visitors at the other extreme.
