There are some nice things along with the typical African tourist stuff, but no matter what you get, be sure to negotiate one the price. You can get a pretty good deal, especially if you shop for an item and compare among several of the...More

This place has a lot of souvenir shops, which specialize in local arts and other products. Some clothes shops are there too. Quite a lot of beggars asking for money.

The huge market held daily in Greenmarket Square houses every type of gee-gaw imaginable...most rubbish...but it is worth just to browse, so long as one's bag is firmly across your shoulder and sitting in front on your stomach, with a hand on top...don't underestimate the...More

I was looking for a street market, but I cannot call "street market". Take care about the pickpocket. Nothing interesting to buy, not well organised place. Take care about yourself walking down there!!

This is a rather classic touristy type of market with hippy-like vendors. We were there as they were closing down and they seemed a bit desperate.

My all time favourite historical building, filled with 17th century art and furniture, Delft tiles, exotic timber panelling, the foundation stone was laid in 1755, alterated and added to in 1829 and converted into the Michaelis Gallery in 1916. The upstairs chamber is entirely panelled...More

A square in the center with all sorts of stuff that you can buy. Handicrafts, dresses etc. You do need to haggle with vendors for a good buy as the initial quote will be outrageously high. . Vendors are friendly.

The market isn't enclosed, it's just out there on a closed-off street. In the middle of downtown, so yes, wheelchair accessible for sure. As for parking, it seemed to be just street parking. We were on foot so didn't pay much... More
