This is a fun market to shop for souvenirs and there are some hidden gems here. We found beads, bowls etc...but the best find were gorgeous sweaters from KBY Clothing! We probably bought 15 of them and Ilhaam and Suraya were even willing to deliver colors to our hotel that weren't in stock that day! We brought them home as... More

Great place to visit if you want some African souvenirs. As it is a market be prepared to bargain but ultimately what you pay is what something is worth to you. Stall owners are pleasant, obviously looking for a sale but not overly pushy....go and enjoy!

This is market for souvenirs and authentic African stuff, some sellers are being pushy everyone want to be your friend, price given is a start point and they expect you to negotiate, price can drop in some cases more than 50% so don't be shy and try if you will not get in the first shop you will find it... Good place to buy souvenirs. You can find handmade bracelets, necklaces, etc and you can negotiate prices. You may find some African musical instruments as well which I found very interesting.

We got a lot of great souvenirs but the vendors were very aggressive. We found a shop at Waterfront that sold a lot of the same things for about the same price without the aggressive sales pitches. They barter a lot and they will start their prices crazy high. We asked about a mask and were told it was 800... More

LOVED this place. The shop owners are friendly and eager to make a deal but aren't rude or scary aggressive. They are fun and chatty and have great lines to get you into their booths. They are more than willing (and expecting) negotiations. I typically started at half their opening price. The items frequently are repeated and therefore can be... More

I got awesome deals here! You can negotiate with the sellers. The merch is top of the line and mostly handmade items. This is a perfect place to get all your souvenirs while visiting!

I just want to say be careful of what you buy, and check them REAL good! I brought back those pretty painted wooden bowls not noticing tiny little holes on the bottom which were made by some kind of worm or something that was still living in the bowl.

A lot of african touch in the gifts , paints and clothes . You will like it if you are landing to buy gifts for friends and you will like more if you want to buy cheap art and decorations but remember always bargain .
