My son (18) and I went for our first scuba courses, Open water & Advance scuba, with instructors GK (#399448) and Slade (#398552). With the right amount of professioncy and humour, they taught us the skills we needed to have to accomplish our course goals. We are looking forward to do more diving with this team and further our scuba skills. They opened a whole new world to us!…

My fiance and I did the kelp forrest and seal dive package and it was amazing! The first dive hosted 15 meter kelp trees; we saw amazing fish, lobster and colorful coral. The second dive was right next to an island with more than 100 seals. The seals were playful, interactive, curious and lovely! We have never experienced either of these environments and were extremely impressed with our dives. The dive intructors and boat captain were all very friendly, hospitable, instructive and warm. I would however not describe the water as warm in May! It was around 62F when we dove. Although the dives were around 45 minutes, my fiance could only handle about 10-15 minutes of the cold water by the second dive even with the full wet suits. K…

AMAZING TEAM! Cape Town waters and conditions are apparently not the easiest to dive in for beginners looking to get their Open Water. The team has been so accommodating with rescheduling and making sure folks are progressing towards their PADI at a pace they are comfortable with. Huge shoutout to Sandra for being a legendary instructor, Robyn for the seamless coordination, GK, Greg, Tarin so many others for making this experience so memorable. I look forward to progressing as a diver and coming back to do some fun dives with the team!…

The welcome that I received from the staff coupled with a genuine kindness and courtesy from all concerned, starting with Robyn and Michaela at Recetion through to the Instructors particularly Slade, GK, Taryn, Sandra and Troy. There was an international flavour as well with at least one student from Spain, France and Russia respectively. Our OWC Instructors were superb. Period. We were quickly made to feel at ease on arrival and as the course progressed the appropriate level of seriousness was applied with a premium placed on safety both in the aquatic environment and on land through repetitive drills assembling, donning and removing the relevant pieces of equipment. The trip to Simon's Town for the Open Water leg of the course was efficiently put together with all our equipment both personal and rental already stowed. On arrival at the dive site, the staff unloaded the trailer and ensured that everyone (the novice students) was comfortably kitted out followed by a pre-dive briefing. Once in the ocean, with BCDs fully inflated,, we were taken individually through the relevant drills - surface and underwater - with the importance of each carefully explained. Despite a natural initial apprehension, all went as planned underwater with the dive leader pointing out marine life and checking on us from time to time as we followed the dive plan. Post-dive and back at Into The Blue (ITB) in Sea Point all equipment (including personal equipment) was washed down by the Instructors. I had a superb course and a positive overall experience. Well-trained staff and a highly organized operation. Value for money. Highly recommended.…
