nice time
Jan 2020
Nice family beach one side, dog walking on the other, just watch out for the 🐕 poo as some people think they dont have to pick up after their dogs. At high tide, very little beach so be sure to check the tides.

Nice beach in a small little town
Feb 2020
Very nice beach, when we visited it, it was not crowded, for grown-ups and families. Nice little cafe close by, so everyone will find a place to enjoy.

It seems to be a beach for the locals. Enjoyed watching groups of seniors swimming, surfing, etc in the freezing water EVERY DAY. Nice boardwalk. Not a lot of shops in town but all you need if staying in a self cater.

A bit dodgy
Mar 2020
Fish Hoek beach felt very dodgy and unsafe. There was an outlet that said not to touch the water coming from it and so it didn't really feel like a place to swim or put your feet in the ocean. There's a great restaurant there though.

Fish Hoek Beach

A great destination, safe for elderly and kids. The beach is generally with life guards, clean and easy to access.

A decent enough beach , probably more popular with locals than tourists
Dec 2019
We called here on the way back from Cape Point. There is a large pay car park with a dilatory attendant, very close to the beach.

There are quite decent amenities with a nice block paved 'promenade' and a nice path going round the bay to the south. Quite a long beach with an attractive mountain backdrop but the beach /ambience didn't do much for me.

Probably more of a local's beach than one for tourists and in my opinion there are nicer Indian Ocean beaches around and past Muizenberg heading south.

The best thing about this beach is that Fishermen trek fish there.
Feb 2020
Trek fishermen haul in their nets full of yellowtail on some days.Besides fresh fish there is a caravan park on Fish Hoek Beach and a promenade where benches are placed and whale watching takes place 4 months of the year.

Amazing part of Cape Town
Dec 2019 • Couples
Way beyond my expectations! Fish Hoek I absolutely amazing, we stayed at Ocens Echo and what a view! The town is like a time portal, panoramic sea views, sights of ocean life, submarines and Navy ships

ACTUALLY, Fish Hoek Main Road
Feb 2020 • Business
Fish Hoek main road than Fish Hoek BEACH...

It is an easy road to walk down or up!

The atmosphere is always busy busy no matter if you arrive early morning or late afternoon.
I enjoy the tiny shops which sells this and that, have my spectacles fixed and check out the book shops on route to "work!"

Work is free WiFi at the cost of breakfast.

It is way different than tripping down to the beach, way way different indeed. Agree?

Tired
Jan 2020
The beach itself is lovely to walk on for a short walk but the town is very tired and could do with revitalising. Wouldn't stop here and views/ access to beach spoiled by railway line.
