I was scheduled to do a cow shark dive but travel plans changed. They were willing to accommodate my travel schedule and worked with me to re-schedule. The day of the dive, the ocean currents and rip tipe would have made for unsafe diving conditions but Matt (dive leader), made a sound judgement call to change the dive location. No sharks, but it was still fun! I really appreciated their willingness to be flexible and that they put their customer safety as first priority. Great company, super professional, I highly recommend it!

I emailed this scuba diving operator more than 6 months before I was to visit South Africa. By email we set up the date of the dive, the location, the costs, and the gear I would need including the sizes. I thought everything was great, and I was very happy. The only thing I didn't know was what time the dive would begin. I arrived in South Africa on a Saturday, and I would to dive on Sunday. I called the business on Saturday evening when I arrived, but no one answered. On Sunday, I arrived at 5am at the business, just in case. By 9:30am no one was in the business, and I was really worried! Finally around 10am, the person in the store next door felt sorry for me and offered to help. He got the business owner on the his cell phone. The person that helped me told me that this business is NEVER open on Sundays. He said this type of poor communication has happened many other times to other people he's had to help. When I spoke to the owner on the phone, he denied ever having any email contact with me. He denied getting my information and telling me they had a dive scheduled on a Sunday. He acted nonchalantly and didn't seem to care that I had waited at his business for over 5 hours in a foreign country to be able to dive. He acted as though I was wasting his time and eventually hung up without so much as an apology. The owner of the other shop was SO much more helpful. He apologized for the owner's behavior. He made me coffee and shared breakfast. He called 2 other dive shops (unfortunately, they were more than an hour away by taxi each direction). Eventually he helped set me up to dive at the aquarium. I would never recommend this business to anyone.

Good Day Sir, (sorry I didn't get your name) My name is Sken and I am the Owner of Table Bay Diving. We have been here for 13 years ! I am very sorry to hear about your bad experience? First of all, I always answer my phone (within working hours) Table Bay Diving is open 7 days a week, (we are not allowed to close for the Waterfront.) We had staff working here the whole season from 09am to 17h00 ! I don't know what happend, but I can assure you that the "person who made you coffe and helped you was NOT the owner of the business next door, he is a TOUTER. (He sells helicopter flights) The OWNER confirmed he never spoke to any diver. I can assure you that we have many divers who have a great time with us. We appologise for the inconvenience and if you do come back to Cape Town, please come and see us. We will make sure you have a good time! Kind regards. Sken
