    Amazing
The museum it is great. The guide tour Leila was amazing and she knows so many side informations that we remained with a really really good impression. If we come back and for sure we will, it will be due to her and we will buy at least one piece.

Excellent diamond museum tour with Zalha
We had a tour of the diamond museum near the clock tour on the Cape Town waterfront. The guide - Zarah (? Spelling - apologies) was very good and enthusiastic. The tour was great even if we could not afford to buy.

    Shimansky Diamond Museum Tour
Visiting the Shimansky diamond museum has been an amazing and educational experience for our family. Our host has been wonderful. It has been amazing to learn about South African diamond history and to know how our country offers amazing diamonds sourced conflict free and authentically cut the Shimansky way.

    10 out of 10!
We had Nadya as our guide and she was amazing! She gave us a thorough history of diamond mining in South Africa and it was really interesting. She talked us through the process from mining to refining and cutting the diamonds to finally being able to wear the diamond as beautiful jewellery. We highly recommend the tour! Even came with a complimentary drink and look through their store. Thank you! A must do activity!

    Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat
The Shimansky Diamond Museum was an excellent introduction to the South African diamond mining industry, diamond production and jewelry in general. Cindy provided a great tour. She was knowledgeable, informative and easy to understand. The tour covers the formation of diamonds, how they are processed, graded and cut. There is a small collection of 19th century photos of the Kimberly Mine taken during the diamond rush. You get a glimpse into the onsite jewelry manufacturing workshop. You end in the showroom where you can see finished diamond and tanzanite jewelry. The tour takes an hour and is worth the price of admission.

    Fascinating Diamond and Jewels Tour
It was a wonderful tour. I had Zacha van Wyk and she was amazing! She gave me all the interesting information and answered all my questions. Then when we actually looked at the diamond inventory, she quickly understood my style and preference and skipped things I wouldn't be interested in. This is located in the Waterfront, so great location and totally worth it!

Constance was very knowledgeable and insightful about the history, the difference between diamonds, how they are crafted and polished. She willingly answered all my questions. It was a great experience. I learned so much. Would recommend.

Excellent resource about diamonds particularly the history of South African diamonds. Our guide Constantina was very knowledgeable, detailed and concise. The experience takes you through a short museum where it leads to views of a diamond workshop and ultimately lands you in a jewelry store. Visitors please be ready for the last part.

What an interesting tour! Aloma, the guide was professional and friendly. I was blown away by the research that went into the historical display as well as the photographs and captions. I had plenty of questions and Aloma patiently answered them all. We viewed the workers processing the diamonds and were treated to a drink in the showroom. The diamonds sparkled in the jewelry and I loved the black, pink, blue and yellow diamonds, as well as the traditional ones. It was a dazzling experience.

This is a guided visit providing an interesting history of diamonds. There are examples of the large well known diamonds. This is followed by seeing the diamond cutting process. What you actually see depends on what is actually happening in the workshop at the time of the visit.
Next is the showroom where there are many items of diamonds and tanzanite for sale. There is however no pressure to buy.
We were lucky that we were the only people on the tour and had plenty of time to discuss the process with the guide Imraan. He was very informative and helpful througout our visit.

On the spur of the moment we decided to visit this museum.Nadya our guide gave a personalised tour where we learnt much about the South African diamond industry. The working area was fascinating where we observed skilled tradespeople going about their crafting. The tour was rounded off with complimentary drinks whilst viewing a fine range of jewellary available for purchase. Thank you Nadya - it was a great way to spend an hour.
