This was the highlight of our visit so far to Cape Town. Many people might think it ridiculous to spend 4 hours plus hiking up Table Mountain, but this was done with one of the most professional organisations we ever hired which means that we...More

Johan was our guide up Skeleton Gorge route, and he was first class! It was a long 4.5 hrs climb, but so worth the effort when you finally reach the highest point at Mclear's Beacon! There is some rock scrambling and wooden ladders, but still...More

An early morning start is essential to avoid the full sun. Our guide Hendre was 'full of beans' and definiately knew the routes, she was very enthusiastic and at times I needed this to help me get to the top. This is obviously an uphill...More

I am interested in hiking Indian Venster with my boyfriend when we get to Cape Town in a couple weeks. I am wondering how necessary it is to get a guide. I would like to avoid spending the extra money if it's doable for two people on their own. Thanks!

Hi Casey. I strongly recommend a guide for India Venster, as the route involves scrambling and exposure to heights.
