This trip was a real treat from beginning to end. Our host and driver, Dirk, was so knowledgeable and eager to share his love for his country's history that is was infectious. The drive through the countryside was spectacular. I sat in the front seat and took so many pictures so that I could remember the land when i returned home. The accommodations were comfortable and I especially loved the ones along the seacoast. We packed a lot in during our six days, including a marvelous day at Addo Elephant National Park. Elephants up close? Priceless. Then there are the Meerkats in the morning? Delightful. I can't recommend 34 South Tours enough if you are looking for a personalized small group trip through a magnificent land.

We, a group of 4 friends, have just returned from a fantastic 6 day Garden route tour with 34 South. From initial contact with Laetitia, we knew this would be a good tour. Her attention to what we wanted, suggestions for what to do and when, and the fact that she always followed up on email or WhatsApp quickly with acknowledgments and information was a comforting thing!
Then to the tour...We had 4 people in the vehicle and Dirk the driver/tour leader was extremely helpful and made sure we saw all the beautiful areas along the garden route such as Oudtshoorn, Tsitsikamma and Knysna . Dirk was easy going, very easy to talk to on a whole diverse range of subjects, and made it very clear that this was our tour and open to changes. He knew so much about the the areas we visited and stopped and pointed out items of interest en route. often. Accommodation was superb all through and we had ample time to explore areas as required.
Everything was planned to perfection and we had the holiday of our life . Can't recommend 34 South highly enough !!! We will return one day I'm sure !

After months of struggling to plan this trip by myself, I found 34⁰ South Tours. What a life saver they are! Laetitia took my painful process and made it fun! Her vast experience helped to guide me and together we planned out a custom 2-week tour through the Garden Route. She made the most amazing recommendations and thought through every last detail to ensure our trip was going to be amazing (this was especially challenging as I'm a nervous mom travelling alone with my 3 year old son). She went above and beyond and was always there to help us.

We had the most amazing garden route tour. Our Guide, Dirk, was awesome. He answered all our questions of the country with the best of humor. He knew a lot of south african history and could explain us every detail while we were on the van. We had the best time speaking with him. The selection of hotels and advices for restaurants were always spot on. Our south african trip was definitively better after we book the tour with South 34!

WOW! This trip was amazing from start to finish!!!
My 3-year old son and I did an 8-day, private tour of the Garden Route. Our tour guide, Dirk, was phenomenal! He is so knowledgeable about the history, geography, geology, culture of the region. He was able to answer all my questions and make the trip so much more interesting. He was also amazing with my son (who cried when we had to say goodbye). Dirk brought this trip to life in a way that very few people can! He also made sure we got the most out of every day / experience while always being safe (a big concern of mine).
I cannot recommend Dirk and 34⁰South Tours enough. They are AMAZING!!! I highly recommend them for your African adventures.

This holiday was on our bucket list. We did the garden route tour with 34 degrees South Tours. Our guide Dirk was fantastic. His knowledge of Africa was amazing.The accomodation we stayed at was first class, could not fault any place we stayed at. I would highly recommend anyone to go with this tour company

My friend and I needed to go to Durban to attend a conference. We decided to take the garden route tour and, after looking at different options, we choose 34 South Tours. The service seemed serious and trustworthy and we received detailed information about the tour we were hiring. However, this initial impression doesn't even cover it. Dirk, it`s not only an amazing guy but it´s also very educated on Southafrican history. He made the tour not only enjoyable but incredibly interesting. Everything that was promised, was well delivered. The quality of the services they hire worth every penny we spent. They really know their business. At the end of the day, people do make a difference.

We were a large group with six adults and four children ages from five to 13. Laetitia was fantastic at creating a bespoke holiday, as we did not want to risk malaria, so stuck to the garden route. This was changed before we went a few times as is typical of a big group, which was no trouble to Laetitia - she found us some fantastic boutique guest houses that would be impossible for bigger companies. Because the guest houses were dealing with Laetitia we got great prices, the cost breakdown clearly laid out. Dirk was an amazing guide, with his historical knowledge of South Africa - and James Bond films! We did a huge amount in the two weeks perfectly organised by a great team - and would unreservedly recommend them to anyone wanting to visit this wonderful country.

We can't thank Laetitia and Dirk enough for planning and guiding us on the most amazing holiday in South Africa. This was our first trip to SA and we gave Laetitia a budget, dates and a rough idea of what we would like to do and see, and also our general interests. She came up with a really fantastic itinerary with recommendations on where to stay and what to see. It was perfect! From our arrival at Klaserie Sands River Lodge in the Kruger, to our final nights stay at Arniston, every single guest house, lodge, hotel that we stayed in was superb. Dirk was an amazing guide. His knowledge, history and general enthusiasm, not forgetting his sense of humour, made the trip so memorable. This really was a holiday to remember in so many ways.
We would not hesitate to recommend 34 South tours.Their attention to detail is second to none. We shall return, there is so much to see of this beautiful country, and we shall be calling on Laetitia and Dirk's organisational skills when we do. Thank you both for a trip we shall never forget.

34 South Tours is a company to use. We planned a trip to the Kruger, Capetown and the garden route with them directly. They are very professional in their guidance of where to visit and the places to stay. In Capetown and the garden route Dirk was our guide for the duration and has so much knowledge of the flora and history. What I recommend is to ditch the big coach trips organised in the UK and get 34
South Tours to organise your needs. Their ideas and advice were perfect and they did all the work. We just enjoyed a special holiday.
