Full-Day Franschhoek Wine Tram Tour from Cape Town

81 reviews
With three centuries of wine-growing heritage, the Franschhoek Valley is one of the Cape’s top wine areas—and the Franschhoek Wine Tram, a vintage-style tram, is the perfect way to explore. Travel in air-conditioned comfort from downtown Cape Town, then choose between the purple and orange lines. Besides an onboard wine tasting and narration, you have time to visit multiple estates on one of two lines.

A relaxing outing experience so up-close and personal with nature. One is able to appreciate the value that this gorgeous little island adds to the preserving the life of its inhabitants! Superb photo opportunities, a wealth of knowledge shared by the guides, a gentle walk around the island as well as a little boat ride make for a wonderful family outing!

Situated in the heart of Century City, Intaka Island is the perfect place to experience nature's tranquility. My husband & I visited early on a Sunday & were the only visitors until midday. We especially enjoyed watching the herons from the bird hide, as well as spotting a gorgeous Pied Kingfisher. The variety of birdsong as you stroll along the pathways is a balm for the soul in today's fast-paced life. Stunning views & ample space to enjoy a packed picnic lunch (provide your own), they also offer canal boat tours & full moon guided walks. Highly recommend!

As a hardened birder, was blown away by the visit - well-laid out paths, excellent sign-posting and great bird hides. Recorded close to 60 species of birds in and around the sanctuary. The environmental education which is on the go is an inspiration. A safe and pleasant place to enjoy nature within an urban jungle!!
