We booked a private lesson for a party of three and it was absolutely by far the best surfing lesson we have had. As beginners we were more focussing on standing and turning and our coach checked really well what our needs were before we started and actually even booked the lesson to determine the right spot and approach.
It was absolutely fantastic and successful as we all managed to improve our skills while having so much fun. We also received an e-mail one day after the lesson with great photos of us surfing. Very professional service, excellent boards, great wetsuits and joyful vibe. Will definitely surf again with Stoked!

I have booked several surflessons with Stoked Surfing in a small group including pickup. It all went without any problems. Our surf instructor Henri was great! He did a mega job, explained and taught everything well and gave individual tips. We stayed at two different beaches (Muizenberg and Big Bay Beach). Overall very good. I highly recommend it!

We searched for a while for the best surfschool in Cape Town and now we are sure that we have found it! From the beginning communication with Michelle was smooth, quick and very beneficial. We were planning a special tailored lessons and she helped a lot with everything, answering our miltiple questions. They chose for us several beatiful beaches, so we were surfing in really great places!
Organization was superb with all these e-mails with weather updates, picking us up was precisely in time.
We also liked the team so much. People really matter in surfing, we enjoyed not only surfing lessons, but the atmosphere created by Sara and Alexi. Many thanks for these beauiful surfing family, especially for our coach Alexi for his patience and support and Sara, because her photos and music are both cool.

Stoked Surf school provides not only surf guides trips but concierge service in the process especially for those on vacation and looking for locals that know the area. Michelle made booking easy. My guide David is the one that locals trust. While the waves were small, they ensured we still went to the best spot to catch waves in the Waikiki of South Africa including a choice of boards to enjoy your time on the waves. If you’re looking for locals that know the area and who create customized surf trips Stoked Surf school is the only operator in Cape Town to trust.

A great couple of days with Henri who guided me perfectly to the local spots. Stoked by the awesome service and guidance, transport, board, wetty and local knowledge. A great bloke also.

I’ve used Stoked school of surf to hire equipment on a number of accessions and have always been happy. Equipment is in great conditions and owners are always friendly and willing to assist. Good value for money and convenient . It’s my go to when in the cape and looking for surf equipment to rent.

Group lesson on Big Bay beach for first timers. Extremely well organised and great value for money. The whole team were amazing helpful and engaging. Sent pictures after the day out which was a big plus. Thanks guys!

Michelle ensures that the coaching takes into account the potential limitations of an adult. Focuses on technique and replacing bad habits with efficient movement. Great time on water, with a clear plan, and prior explanations and stretching on the beach.

My younger sisters and I took a private lesson with Cavin and had a really wonderful experience from start to finish. I made an error when booking and the Stoked team was really helpful in getting it sorted out for us. On the morning of our lesson, Cavin picked us up right on time and was really friendly and eased everyone's nerves about surfing. Everything was handled really well, and after a quick warm up, we were in the water. Cavin was very positive and encouraging, and we managed to make it back a bit early which was helpful to us, as we'd had a very busy trip. We were grateful for the helpful service, convenient pick up and drop off, and this was a great lesson--if you're interested in surfing and having a really fun morning/afternoon in Cape Town, definitely check out Stoked.

I booked 4 lessons with Stoked while in Cape Town for the week (first time surfing) and it was my favourite thing I did during my holiday!!! If you like water sports, BOOK NOW! The entire experience is fantastic - you meet genuinely great people and the instructors are super friendly, interactive, fun and knowledgeable. Unless you are seriously unathletic they will definitely get you standing on the board. I love that you go to different beaches and that you get to try different kinds of boards as you progress through the lessons. They also make sure to get plenty of GoPro footage, so you have some great photos to remember the trip with. This is also perfect for all kinds of travellers - I went solo and ended up making some great friends.
There were other schools around, but don't make the mistake of going with them - We had the most fun and Stoked are by far the best! Special shout out to David, who was awesome - If he's your teacher you're guaranteed a great time (and some great tunes if you go with the transport!!).
Loved surfing and will definitely be a) continuing to surf and b) signing up with Stoked again next trip to South Africa!!

how much does it cost to rent windsurfing gear for two begginers for 3 weeks?

Hi Maya
We only offer surfing and stand up paddle boarding so do not have windsurfing equipment to rent. We recommend contacting a kite boarding company to ask if they can assist you as they may also have windsurf gear.
