We arrived at Table Mountain early in the morning and it was packed - could have been that it had been closed the previous day, due to high winds. Buy your tickets in advance, we had to wait in a queue for half an hour to get ours, whereas pre-paid went straight in the area to queue for cable car.... More

Wow! What an experience. This was definitely worth the time and effort We arrived around 06:30 after taking Uber cab from the guesthouse we staying in. We drove straight to the start of the Plateklip trail. It is about 2 km past the lower cable station. It took us around 3hrs with lots of breaks and a great vibe as... More

A must to see while in Cape Town. We did an early morning hike to the top. The views were amazing!:) If you don't feel like trekking. Take the cable car instead.

Anyone traveling to Cape Town must view the city from Table Mountain. I strongly recommend hiking up the mountain using Mother City Hikers as your guide or taking the cable car if you are not in hiking shape.

Table mountain was closed when we started out in the morning. Fortunately for us, upon reaching there on the hop on, hop off bus, the cable car had just started to open. We waited 15 minutes for our tickets and made our way to the cable car. One of our party is scared of heights, so going up the mountain... More

Iconic place for any visitor to Cape Town. Tips: queues are huge - buy your ticket before you arrive, either from the Tourist Office or on the bus; use the hop on/hop off bus to get there, for a spectacular ride and drop-off right at the entrance; get your snacks/drinks from the little kiosk at the foot, rather than braving... Started off sunny and by the time we hit the top, could see anything but clouds. Not worth the money

Gorgeous - if you plan to walk down, wear good shoes and be in shape! It takes 2 hours and the gradient is 70%. Otherwise, there are plenty of walks on the Table-top.
