We hiked up and down Platteklip Gorge and really enjoyed it. The hike was intense with steep bolder steps the whole way. It took us 1.5hours to reach the summit at a fairly strong pace. Take lots of water and leave early before it heats up as even in winter the climbing in sunshine will get hot! We met a... More

We had a guide take us around the park. It was really beautiful. We didn't climb up to the lighthouse but enjoyed the views all around it. My husband is uncomfortable with heights but the funicular isn't unnerving and he had no problem.

A must do when in Capetown. Get a hop on, hop off bus ticket and buy your cable car ticket on the bus, they will take you up the mountain, then you go up in the cable car. The most beautiful views around.

quite a cable car experience and worth any queue though you can also walk up in less than 2 hours . stunning views , lots of wildlife and plenty of walking trails. the only disappointment is the sub standard service station like cafe on the top. See the Cape Town from on high

This is the one place you simply have to visit when in Cape Town. We were driven to the bottom of the cable car, and had already decided to hike up. It was a strenuous ascent, even for us seasoned hikers, but stopping every 10 minutes or so to take in the views was worth all the effort. The paths... More

We arrived in Cape Town on Easter Monday courtesy of the taxi driver who picked us up in Stellenbosch. As we drove into the city he recommended that we visit the site later that afternoon for two reasons. (1) Whilst it was a public holiday, he said that most of the visitors would have been up earlier in the day... More

We were fortunate to have a beautiful day for our trip up to Table Mountain. It's beautiful to walk around the incredible rocky landscape with views from every side. Seeing the Dassies on the rocks was quite a treat although apparently they can be seen on any visit. We still enjoyed them.

One should not miss to visit the seventh wonder of world while in Cape Town. We went in cable car up there and it was a terrific view with the top of the table mountain a beautiful place to walk on. Had souvenir shopping as well in the shop up there which is a reminder of this beautiful spot. The... More

I choose know the Table Mountain by trecking - It's was a great idea! The view is wonderful, and the tracking is easy, around 2 and 3 hours to get on the top - Upstairs they have a nice places to lunch, or eat something.
