Phenomenal experience in Cape Town with Extreme Scene!!! We booked 2 activities with their team and both exceeded expectations. We did quading on the dunes which was such a thrilling experience and we did a all day tour of the Cape Peninsula which was more relaxing. Both hosts were knowledgeable, friendly and very punctual. I would highly recommend booking with Extreme Scene!!

Firstly Extremescene organized our trips and activities (custom) to our needs and exceeded our expectations plus provided for adjustments where there was need. We had a wonderful time and definitely going back we did a number of activities such as Sky diving, Seal Snorkeling, Paragliding, Shark Cage Diving, whale watching, Cape Peninsula Tour, wine testing. I enjoyed all the activities and I would do them all over again. The host from Extreme Scene Gavin and his crew ensured to prepare us for the activities adequately such as what to wear and what to expect, what to carry, the need for Sea Sick pills if needed etc and generally support and service 24/7 where to find what or if you looking to go and eat something specific. They gave us good recommendations for Spas and Accomodation as well and we felt safe and comfortable in their company. I would strongly recommend them and I would do this again.

Thank you so much for the positive and informative review. It was fantastic meeting the 2 of you. You both approached all the adventures you did with such incredible enthusiasm which was really nice to see. The travel industry has been under terrible pressure over the last 2 years so the much needed business you provided Extreme Scene was very much appreciated during a challenging time for us all. Take care and we will see you both again soon.

Interaction with Gavin was great. He stayed in touch all the way pricing in really reasonable. It was our first jump and the crew were awesome giving us all the safety tips and ensuring we were well looked after. What an adrenalin rush. Will definitely be back

I found this service online and liked the reviews they’ve had. So I called their office just two days ahead of time (I was less than adequately prepared for this trip). The owner Gavin Pfister was very nice and super helpful. He helped to arrange my shark experience trip right away. The boat had about 30 visitors and a crew of probably 10 people. The crew, led by a marine biologist called Kelly, were fantastic. They were very knowledgeable, super pleasant, and eager to attend your needs even before you ask. For the trip we were very lucky: we saw a seal playing in ocean, saw a brown whale shark and even saw a young great white chasing a seal. The seal managed to escape, which made the entire boat cheer with happiness. All in all, this was a wonderful experience and I could not think of anything negative to say about the experience and the wonderful crew. Thank you all! Jerry

We booked our shark diving experience through Gavin who was super helpful throughout the booking process and even in the run up to confirm timings etc. We only booked the shark diving experience and really enjoyed ourselves despite the weather conditions. The morning of the experience it was raining and quite windy so we weren't 100% sure we'd be going out still. However, it did settle by the time we arrived to Gansbaai itself so we still did, but were warned that the water would be a bit choppy and visibility not the best. I didn't quite realise how small the boat would be so the ride itself was fine, but when stopped on the boat during the experience you can get sick pretty easily. I usually don't get sea sick, but combined with the smell of fish chum etc I was very close... and my wife unfortunately was sick. In the 13 of us on the boat I think 6 or 7 people did throw up so sea sickness pills maybe something to consider even if you don't think you need them! For the experience, everyone wears a wet suit because who knew but the water in Cape Town is FREEZING! You're all on the boat and 5 people at a time can go into the cage with goggles to see the sharks in the water as they're around the boat. You don't wear a scuba / snorkel kit as 5 seconds or so is enough to see the sharks as they do move super quick. I did appreciate this as was much less faff and meant you could go in and out of the cage easier. To be honest, you get a better view from being on the boat and that was incredible too so even if you don't go in the water it is great. We managed to see 4 copper sharks and a great white shark...although super briefly. Surprisingly, the sharks are all really calm and not quite thrashing and looking to attack as you'd expect. In terms of logistics for the day, we booked their transfer and were warned in advance that pickup can be as early at 4:30am and of course our pick up was this early. It's then about a 2 hour drive after picking up everyone so you get to Gansbaai around 8am or so. There's safety briefings and a decent small breakfast provided, so combined with a short 20min boat ride to the area for shark spotting so you get there around 9am for 2 hours on the water. You come back and have the option to shower and change as well as have a lunch provided to leave around 12pm and we got back to Cape Town for 3pm meaning the rest of the day is free - something we didn't quite plan for but appreciated (the other activities we did I've spoken about at Bhik Adventures). During the lunch period, they gave us amazing background on the sharks and the local conservation efforts going to help the sharks so would 100% recommend activities such as this where your money goes to helping save these amazing creatures. Overall, the day was something I was really looking forward to and perhaps not quite what I was expecting, it is something I'm glad I did and would recommend. I've left a detailed review as I think it's good to go with the right expectations to make the most of the day.
