Apart from a burger place and bakery there was very little there.
A few shops which did have nice bits bit the bazzar type shop was so overpriced for the area. I would say more expensive than similar shops in London.
The setting is quite nice but needs more things, perhaps it was just a midweek lull and better at weekends

Be careful of Bumga Bumga foid stall. Very friendly chef. Ni prices on foods. When you ask him what the price is of the dish he is busy making tells you R250. Once you order and have to pay it is R500. Dedinatley not worth it. Just cabbage and a few sauces and few pieces of meat. I nearly collapsed at the price when I had to pay. But did have it out with him. Told him he is misleading the people.

This is a development in up-and-coming Woodstock, where you have an upscale restaurant (taste kitchen) but also some clothes stores and some bars. I like the vibe here, very alternative and in an unusual place as well. Its small though, so you would not spend much time here but it’s good to do when it’s on your bucket list. Be aware in the area though, take the usual precessions.

The Old Biscuit Mill weekend market is a chilled flee market / outdoor shopping mall / food hall combination that makes for a worthwhile afternoon on weekends. Next to the cute shops there's live music and various food and drink stalls to not just stroll around a bit and get some shopping in, but enjoy some high quality daydrinking to start off your Cape Town vacation in style. We loved the vibe and good looking young to mid aged crowd and felt absolutely safe there at all times.

The Old Biscuit Mill is definitely worth a visit. On weekends the market is busting a great (especially for foodies). During the week there is a lovey variety of stores - all of which are unique and interesting. Also a couple of places to eat too. A nice place to explore and shop.

Arrived the place at 830 AM on a Saturday but the market was still busy setting up. Average selection of foods in kiosks while cafes were already open. They sell trinkets, native baskets, fresh produce, clothing, used antique stuff, collectibles, etc. Very good cinnamon croissant as you enter the hall of the food kiosks. There were good retail stores that sold vintage and used items but were still closed until quarter past 9 when we left. Not the best

An area wirh some shops and restaurants, much smaller than expected. Interesting, but my expectations were much higher based on the feedbacks. If you have some spare time before your flight home you can make a stop here to buy some souvenirs.

You should go on weekends. It was quite smaller than I expected. They have weekends market so it might be fun on weekends but definitely not on weekdays. We went there on weekends but honestly the oranjezicht market near the water front is much better!

We spent a half day walking though out the market. The market is mostly shops of very nice South Africa goods. Plenty of food in both restaurants and venders. It was Saturday and very busy with tourists and local. A must to visited to Cape Town. The only negative was the expense of a Taxi to the central city. We didn’t have a uBer set up for return.

If you don’t go in a Saturday then this isn’t worth seeing. On every other day it’s pretty basic and we saw every store in a matter of minutes. Next time I will go the correct day so I can leave a more accurate review.

I would love to get a stall for my unique beads artwork, how can I get a stall and how much is it?
Written 27 February 2022
Thin estimates is to go there and ask one of the stall operators, they will be able to direct you to the relevant people. Hope this helps

What would be the best way of getting to the biscuit mill from the V and A waterfront? We are heading there for the Saturday markets. We won't have a car.

Hi there. The best way to get around Cape Town without a car is to use Uber. They are very safe, quick and efficient. It would only take about 15 minutes to get to the Biscuit Mill from the V&A.

Is it worth it to visit biscuit mills on a Friday ? I’m leaving Saturday morning
Written 14 March 2018
A local told me in April 2019 that it's nearly empty any day except for Saturday. I only visited on a Saturday. Ask a local when you visit to confirm what is available on other days.
