It was an unforgettable experience, quite a bit more challenging than we expected, but fantastic. Pietro was a very good and understanding guide, keeping a good eye on whether things were still all right.

In all my pre-trip research of things to do in Cape Town, always ranked very high, if not first on the list, was to be sure and go up Table Mountain. Some of the guidebooks carry stiff warnings about safety on the trails both from a difficulty of the trails viewpoint and from a small opportunistic criminal element viewpoint and... More

We had the pleasure of a tour up table mountain an early morning with the fantastic Pietro. We went up Platteklip Gorge as Pietro said that would be the best option that day, and he was not wrong. The view was amazing, the trip up and down was in a nice tempo, and all we could have wished for. Furthermore... More

Spent an incredible day hiking up Table Mtn and touring the Cape with Pietro. Wish we had met Pietro at the start of our stay in Cape Town rather than the end because his knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to adjust based on our ability and interests far exceeded any other tour guide we had over the course of our stay.... We started the Kloof route around 7am and reached the top 2 hours later. We were an unfit but young bunch. It's a trail through beautiful fynbos. The clouds came in just after 9 blocking the views but we still had enough time to enjoy the scenes. It was cold on top even though warm at the bottom. There are... More

As a day off from our scuba diving trip to South Africa we decided to do a walk up Table Mountain with Margret from Table Mountain Walks as our guide. We didn't fancy going up in the cable car, that's too easy so we wanted a bottom to top trek. The route chosen was Skeleton Gorge which follows a small... More

I spent a week in Cape Town for a conference and I had a few extra days to explore the mountains and the nature parks. Not sure where to go, I asked the travel desk at the Westin and they recommended Table Mountain Walks who is very professional and will adapt the hikes for their customer’s preferences. The guide I... More

This is a long overdue review, nevertheless, Table Mountain Walks deserves triple thumbs up. Hike to the Lion's head was one of the best experiences that I had. And the hike in the company of Pietro was fabulous.Pietro is such a patient and relaxed person who understood my constraints and tailored the hike accordingly. I definitely recommend anybody whether beginner... More

Travelling with two companions I booked this tour before I arrived in Cape Town. The organisation was excellent and I was kept informed throughout. On the morning of the tour we had a phone call from our guide Pietro who picked us up from our accommodation in his car. We had a short drive to foot of the Platteklip Gorge... More

We had a great hike with our experienced guide Margaret, who was so nice and knew a lot of things about the nature and Cape Town in general. We hiked through Platteklip Gorge with the Maclears Beacon addition and the route was amazing with spectacular views and nicely challenging path. I would definitely recommend this trip for Cape Town visitors!!
