My girlfriend and I scheduled a 6:30am (!) New Year's Day hike with Pietro up Platteklip Gorge. After cheerfully greeting us, Pietro inquired about our skill levels (we're athletic, but not hikers), ensured we had the right gear (not too much or too little!), and...More

My husband and I (both occasional hikers) did the Kasteelspoort hike with Margaret on 01/12/2017. We chose this route instead of original Skeleton Gorge and started one hour earlier to avoid possible long queues of 1-2 hours at that time. Her recommendation was correct and...More

We worked with Table Mountain Walks for a sunrise hike up Lions Head. We're active people, but our honeymoon consisted of lots of wine and food up to that point so we're glad that Pietro, our guide, knew how to pace us. We're so happy...More

A long story to reach to the top either by hiking or by cable car. A beautiful view from the top to the city including Robbin’s island and the stadium. Many things to read and to see. Beware of Diasee. Nice cafe.

Thanks you for your enquiry. A reasonable to good level of fitness is preferable. The route is steep and all stepped so especially for an older person regular aerobic exercise is a prerequisite.. The terrain is uneven in... More
